Is… Is Alchemical Fyre in the Septimus Heap series just nuclear power.

“Graphite tipped rods” are used for controlling the fyre, just like graphite is used to moderate neutrons and accelerate the rate of nuclear fission in a nuclear reactor. And water is used for the fyre, just like how water is used in a nuclear reactor as coolant… Oh my god there was even a disastrous accident due to administrative oversights that caused a complete lack of trust in the power source oh my GOD

Bottled Message Wizard

His common ability is to send messages across different realms and reality using bottles.

His ultimate is a reality bending skill of Written-Recipe-to-reality is limited to once per 3 days and to liquids. Simply put a written recipe of a concoction into a bottle and it simply manifests. Very useful when testing theoretical mixtures.

Tryna be subtle with this, I wanna avoid relying on my texture brushes too much. The color scheme resemblance to a popular Jrpg mascot is pure coincidence

just thinking about how Marcia and Sep were so lonely before they met and then in Magyk they starting doing everything together, even if it’s just read stuff or run errands and imagining all the companionable silences they have had ✊😔

When I first read the Todhunter Moon books I was like Marcia, girl, why did you leave this all to Sep so soon. She even recognizes that in the third book. Now though, rereading Fyre, and getting to the part where Marcia is confiding in Dandra and Marcia’s terror being outlined, I feel like she literally could not handle any more stress after everything that happened throughout her being EOW. Like she’s had a huge, stressful, life or death of many people thing fall on her shoulders at least 7 times, and that’s just post Supreme Custodian. I would’ve retired early to go live my best life traveling as well.

to me its a very sharp smell, it stings your nose when you first smell it the way some perfumes do, it smells a little dusty (it is an ancient art after all) and it smells a little spicy.
