I mean as long as there were safe search and adult only option idfk why people care. This website shouldve just had more ability to prevent minors from seeing porn and being harassed by pedos. Idfk why adults on tumblr have such a need to police the age range of who is on this website. The majority of people on here are teens or younger.

It’s really annoying that older people think it’s appropriate to behave as if the participation of younger people in society is gross and annoying, but it’s even more annoying when on social media, because you know that this is an effect of the social media site trying to gain more status and officialness, or that theyve already succeeded in doing so. Remember when Facebook was a high schooler thing? Now “are you 14” is a serious insult on there. I’m really not in the mood for Tumblr to become the same situation.

Especially since pushing youth out of popular sites leads them to pretending to be adults on sites that are no longer appropriate for children due to abusive and toxic people there, or to going to less restricted sites that, due to their lack of censorship or regulation and sometimes due to their anonymity (*cough* *cough* 4chan *cough*) are very easily taken over by radical extremists like nazis, predatory adults like criminals and doxxers, and the general encouragement of violence especially racism and sexism and such. Where else are 11 year old supposed to go after Facebook, Instagram, twitter, snapchat, and now apparently tumblr start becoming less for the entertainment of all ages and more for the seclusion of adults and the sale of advertising? They will go straight to sites like reddit, 4chan, ifunny.

And anyway even if that wasnt the problem, you shouldnt be bullying children off of social media, a thing they are famous for using, and you shouldnt make jokes about like OP did about “lmao kids are still here???? Dont they realize we want tumblr now that its popular???”

It’s called copula deletion, or zero copula. Many languages and dialects, including Ancient Greek and Russian, delete the copula (the verb to be) when the context is obvious.
