The moment his image appeared Harley giggled and had to compose herself. Weaving between passers by she took to the corners where most wouldn't wish to go.
" Hey .. had me spooked fa' a minute. Hear people been doin' AI 'en stuff to mimic you fa' petty shit. I'm sworry it's ruined yer' image, but ughh this is a nice view to. You ugh... are you? Layin' down or? Play?"
Harley's intrigue spiked as she looked about for a fire exit with in which to climb. Clamping the phone in her mouth for a moment she pulled herself up before setting up the phone again to see Joker.
"Now, now. You have to look at the funny side of it. Bats has his hands full with all these imitations. I've never had so much free time!" His mood on the subject would flip like a switch the moment he wanted the vigilante's attention, but for the moment he was content.
"So many questions. Don't worry your pretty clever head about old J, Dolly. Let me make a fuss of my girl. Hm? Tell me. Where are you headed? Inside? Or are we feeling adventurous? I'll have to kill anyone who looks at you, of course, but I don't mind that."
Harley tilted her head trying to put into perspective all the things that had transpired. It felt like a wild goose chase anymore. If it wasn't Joker following her it was the Bat and his groupies. Nothing felt safe.
" You know I worry about you," she said softly.
Her finger traced the cleft of his chin upon the screen as she sat wondering what her next move was.
" I have a hidey hole of sorts. It's jus' a shame you aren't there," she said before looking back at the hike she had yet to make to reach the apartment window.
" They looked at me before... more so now cause of you. But ya' know I jus' want you ta' fixate on me. I miss ya' visitin' even if last time was ... cova' gettin' blown. Still ended in a blast," she teased only to give a disheartened look as it sunk in that she was alone.
"Why do you think I'm calling, dearie? You're always on my mind, my little harlequin." Honey dripped from his crooning voice as Joker peered at her through the lense.
"Of course they look at you more now. Look at what I've helped you to become! People want what they can't have. And you're all mine, isn't that right?" His voice lowered, a dangerous edge appearing to his tone.
But as quick as it appeared it vanished again. "Now, no need to pout. I have every intention of giving you something almost as good as the real thing. That is, if you think you can be a good girl for me. Whaddya say? Last chance to get somewhere more... comfortable. If you catch my drift."

A giggle slipped unbidden at the Scarecrow's futile display. It's hazy, diluted by the medication he was forced to take that made the time between escape attempts a little easier to bear.
"Now, now Jonny, don't strain yourself. If you make these orderlies do any more paperwork they'll ban number two pencils next..." He admonishes as though Jonathan's suggestion of murder is somehow positively boring. "While I'd love to take the credit, you overestimate me, friend. I've been on my best behaviour all week. And this is my reward? Not a lollipop in sight."
He'd had the straitjacket taken off on account of his good behaviour, so the latest quack to take a look at him had said, anyway. So it's easy to prop an elbow up on one of the the bars and rest his unpainted cheek against his knuckles. A picture of nonchalance.
Lowering his voice conspiratorially, he adds, "From one chemist to another, it's discrimination you know. It's like they don't want us to get better at all! They're afraid of an educated lunatic, I think Old Boy. Can't imagine why." A wide toothy grin spreads across his features.
Waving his boney hand and scratching at the air is doing nothing. It isn't even making the good doctor feel better. He HUFFS and drops his hand, settling against the bars to glare at Joker as if all his problems are the clown's fault personally. They're not. Jonathan doesn't care.
"As if they haven't banned you from pencils." Crane isn't allowed anything to write with; he has a habit of note taking. They say they don't want him pretending to do therapy. Pretending! Said as though his years of schooling and experience suddenly cease to exist after a criminal conviction! "They have banned you from pencils, haven't they?"
His pumpkin orange eyes narrow behind his rectangular glasses, already weighing what he would give to access to something to write with. But If the Scarecrow is banned from working, surely everyone must be. If not, Jonathan will see it as an attack against him personally. "If you've got one stashed away, give it here."
"Banned is such a... strong word." Joker smiled at his neighbour. There was a bait, and the hook would follow.
"It would seem we're on different therapy plans old boy. Didn't you spring for the deluxe package?" He giggles to himself, reaching to place a very short number 2 pencil so it is visible behind his ear.
"I'm supposed to write about my feelings. Its very important for my recovery process you know. But for you, seeing as it means so much... I could be persuaded."
"Have you been ignoring me, Johnny?" @the-last-laugh
"Boss--" he sort of huffs out a breath in disbelief, didn't he always make sure he was readily available to Joker at all hours of the day? Making sure his ringtone for his calls would be impossible to ignore and at full blast so he won't sleep through it. If he calls at 3AM he'll have his shoes on and be out the door by 3:10 no matter how sleep deprived he is, he'd drop just about anything for him.
All because Jonny was determined to be his dependable, go to guy.
"I'm at your beck and call." he put a hand to his chest, voice exuding sincerity while a smile tugged at the upper corner of his mouth, flashing molars. "What made you doubt that?"
The Joker stayed Frost down for a few long and tense moments. He operated lately on a friends close but enemies closer basis and Jonny didn't fit the pattern. He was... keen.
"I was sure - in fact I distinctly remember telling you... to get a decent night sleep. And yet here you are looking like a worn out rag. What is it? Am I not paying you enough? Have you taken up a second job. Hm?"
"Tell me."
