Please please please get help. Your future is worth it. Don’t put it off any longer. Talk to someone. Please.
Recovery is a process.
It’s important to remember that it’s not going to happen overnight. When we break a bone, we have to keep it in the cast until it heals; we don’t get to take it off because it’s starting to feel better. The same is applied to mental health. Healing takes time - slow progress is better than no progress.
However long it takes, with however many slip ups along the way, it WILL get better in the end, as long as you keep fighting, even if it doesn’t feelmlike it at the moment.
Something that was said to me that really resonated was that recovery isn’t a race, it’s a marathon. Wherever your goal lines are, the object isn’t to get there as fast as you can but to just get there, you’re not in competition with anyone
Nothing happens over night
And sometimes you have a relapse after a long time of being in recovery
Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither are you. It takes time, patience, and work to get better. You can do it!

🌸 SELF AFFIRMING STATEMENTS 🌸
I might have some faults, but I’m still a good person.
I care about myself and other people.
I accept who I am.
I love myself.
I’m a good person, not a mistake.
I’m good and nobody is perfect.
I embrace both my good and bad qualities.
Today I take responsibility for everything I do and say.
I’m becoming a better person every day.
I’m a sensitive person who experiences the world differently.
Each day I do the best I can.
Even though I forget sometimes, I’m still a god person.
Even though bad things happened to me in the past, I’m still a good person.
Even though I’ve made mistakes in the past, I’m still a good person.
I’m here for a reason.
There’s purpose to my life, even though I might not always see it.
I radically accept myself.
