I specifically picked a sapiens mother and neanderthal father because based on genetic studies that seems to have been the main source of neanderthal genes. Of course, it could be that the reverse just doesn't get preserved in the genome, or perhaps those hybrids weren't fertile. We also don't know if perhaps there were complications in a pregnancy like that, with skull and pelvis size playing a role. We might never know

we do know that however such matched happened, the babies were raised and loved and had families of their own. the human being is a social species, they would not have survived to pass on their genes without a community

On one hand, it's annoying to say there's "nothing special" about the Elder Scrolls universe when it is very interesting once you go into any level of depth beyond just playing Skyrim.

On the other hand, under absolutely zero circumstances would I ever EVER want to see a live action TES series, both because there's no way they could handle the things that do make it interesting and because I don't think the series would play well in that medium.
