I’ve been away too long.

So I got married almost a year ago and since around that time, I’ve barely gone on tumblr...Part of it was that I haven’t seen season 7 of OUAT because I’ve felt burnt out on that show, as much as I love it, and partly because I was just into other things at the time, like we got a dog and he’s my life!! (I might go ahead and finish the show now that I know it’s in it’s very last season--so please no spoilers). Anywho, I don’t know if I have any followers still, but I kind of miss it here with all it’s crazy metas, theories, and flowery pictures. Also, I’m dedicating my energy to reading more this year, so I’ll maybe right up little reviews of the books I’ve been reading (Ursula K. Le Guin is amazing, may she rest in peace).

I do feel I have to add that the first wave had a nearly empty western territory that had been utterly depopulated. There was a lot of space and resources to share around. Not really any open frontiers to flood into this time.

That means everyone must be twenty times more committed to seeing our most recently arrived citizens assimilated safely. There’s little reason to just assume it’ll happen naturally of it’s own accord.
