It seems some of the Old Knowledge has disappeared from warframe players, so let me tell you a little secret:

Scanning the codex fragments on the planets gives you a picture and lore about that picture, like mars settlements for example.

But.... if you move your mouse around on that picture, listening closely, you might find some MORE lore about a completely unrelated, but cool topic.
