I’ve said it before and ill say it again. People thinking that young Daniels real personality is the one where he was scared shitless for his life are wrong. Of course he would cry, whip and piss himself from fear.

He was literally being tortured by a vampire who later tried to bait him into suicide.

Daniel has always been a selfish asshole with 0,5% empathy. He has only cared for 3 things in his life and that’s 1) his job, 2) drugs and 3) Armand.

But Devil’s Minion is happening. Eric has confirmed this, Assad has confirmed this, Rolin has confirmed this. Nothing anyone else says matters.

Whether it’s racism, ageism or insecure shippers, it doesn’t really matter. It’s happening. That’s guaranteed. It’s one of the most popular sections of the entire book series and it’s confirmed to be in the show.

Watching the cast and the writers talk about the show feels more objective, because they know definitively what they’re putting into their work. They aren’t trying to upset you, like people in the fandom are. They want to tell a balanced story. It’s good to remind yourself now and then what all of this is really about.
