Awww the poor office workers! It must be so hard to sit on your ass in a climate controlled office all day. Benefits, weekends and holidays off, ugh, so horrible! And sick leave! Not being told to come in to work or you’ll be written up when you can’t leave the bathroom because you’ve got it coming out both ends, oh the injustice! That must be just the worst! And there’s no heavy lifting or being screamed at by customers who can’t be bothered to read the signs and be sure that the product they’re getting is in fact the one that’s on sale. Truly, you are martyrs, you suffer so much. You have my deepest sympathies. Stay strong!

Office jobs don’t just comprise of Uni related fields (engineering, finance etc), some are just admin.  Also getting a job in your field of study is bloody hard unless you networked well, which in of itself can be pretty difficult.

That being said, I’ve worked in offices and in McD’s, which is very similar to the retail portion of this comic, and both are hard as all Hell.  McD’s was worse, and I do like orginising so office work suits me, but the differences really aren’t as big as this comic suggests in my experience.

@slapshotsandcupcakes has either never worked in an office, got a very good deal when they did, or is just way bitter.  Office work isn’t stereotyped as soulsucking and unhealthily stressful for nothing.

So the day after I got yelled at by that “Lady.” I decided to play it “nicer” and preface everything i say with “hey guys I don’t want to be mean....” I go on about this for two hours, and what happened was a little girl looked up to me and said “your not being mean, In fact your probably one of the nicest people here.” my heart melted. it made my day and helped me get through the weekend.

My coworker and I were running the launch tower at the middle of the day someone leaned on the fence a little too hard and it broke. Maintenance came along put on a band aid and my team told us not to let people touch the fence for the rest of the day. Things went smoothly until the next to last ride... Me: (welcoming teenagers on, one wearing a cartoon shirt shirt) "Just one important question, Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?" Teenagers: "Spongebob Squarepants" *rolls eyes* Me: "yeah i know it's pretty lame, but it's the last five minutes we're just trying to make it fun" I go and lock the restraints, check to make sure everyone is safe and okay, jiggled my gates to make sure they don't come loose, and turn to see a woman leaning on the fence. Me: Excuse me guys could not lean on the fence, it fell over earlier and.... Woman  "WELLL FINE WE WON'T LEAN ON THE FENCE BUT I'M STILL STANDING HERE BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO... Me: *slowly begins walking backwards with hands raised in the air....* Woman: continuing "THOSE ARE MY KIDS ON THE RIDE... YEAH YOU WALK BALK WITH YOUR HANDS UP....." ME: runs the ride let's the teens off.... Team Mate: 'We hope you guys enjoyed your day' Woman: "oh yeah, i was enjoying my day until you two soiled it with your attitudes, and it'll be the best day when I tell your managers!!!" I go to the team lead collecting my papers and ask if we would get in trouble Team Lead "No you guys did your job, in fact if a guest complains you get *Fake employee currency*"

My opponent & I are under 3 life. I am able to kill him on my turn. Game has ended. We are discussing the game couple min. pass, he realizes he could have triggered an ability to win & he wants to do it 4 the win. What should I do since I already won

The game is over.

If your opponent could have won during the game, he should have done so then. He didn’t, so you won instead. Misplays happen and are a part of Magic.
