Don't Look At Me Pt. 2 || I tried to write fluff

She always liked walks. But the Doctor made them even better. His hand was a lot bigger than her’s and he made her feel safe. She felt safe and everything seemed happy. She needed his energeticness and joyfulness in her life, otherwise she felt like she’d just slip away.

As soon as he found out that she liked walks, he wanted to take her on walks every day, but she reminded him that to much of a good thing didn’t help. And she had papers to grade. So he sighed and tried to help her, handing her different colored pens and eventually getting bored and flying off, often bringing her back flowers from exotic planets.

Not that she minded.

She had vases in her classroom filled with the more seemingly normal flowers that he brought back, and it always made her happy. And then she could continue on with her day.

She also loved the way when he was half-asleep and she had just gotten up and he rolled over towards her, his lips just barely parting and breathing out ‘Clara’ before he fell back asleep.

When she got home, he was always there to give her a hug and a quick kiss, and if he wasn’t, there was a note taped to the door. It normally said something along the lines of ‘There was an emergency.’ with a P.S. of. ‘By emergency I mean I got bored and went out.’ Those always made her laugh, which was good. Laughing was good. He was always back soon.

But he made her feel safe, and that was what she needed, his warmth and his hand enclosing hers, how he tried to make dinner when she was having a bad day, even though all he could really make was desserts, but that was to be expected.

How he always asked her how her day was. “Clara, you’re doing it again.” Her thoughts were interrupted,again, by the Doctor. She’d been daydreaming again. It had been a good daydream though, not the bad ones she had sometimes.

“Sorry... I didn’t mean to.” She focused back on his arm around her waist as she leaned into his side. They had been watching a movie, but it seemed to have ended, the credits were just rolling. “I didn’t mean to zone out..” He shushed her.

“It’s absolutely fine.” He told her, pressing a kiss to her forehead. “It’ll always be fine.”

Her eyes fluttered shut, smiling softly. “Promise?”

“Double promise.” He replied.
