"What is the charge? Eating a child? A succulent Chinese child?"
one of the best feelings tbh
Hey so my mental health is like really bad right now. So to hopefully help me focus on good stuff, I'm going to try to take pictures every day of things that make me smile. And post those images. So here is today's.
Swapped sides of the room between Ra (and company) and Wesir (and company). Got Ra a little sunrise art print I found too.
Anyone else remember the days when I was like ha ha no to Ra and now here we are.
I don't know who needs to read this but Wep Ronpet is closer than you think.
I dreamt briefly of Hathor last night. She was the Egyptian goddess of love, joy, music, and motherhood. She was also a protector of the dead, guiding them safely into the afterlife. This is one of my all time favorite and best pieces IMHO, and very appropriate to my life personally right now. Her kindness, love, and reassurance is a balm. Prints Here Wood Pendants Here
HATHOR DIDN'T EXPLODE
DUA HATHOR!!!
Update on my Hathor illustration. She’s coming along so nicely !

I love the gods. I love the gods so much. I love how they can interact with us in different ways. I love how different they are. I love how we can have shared experiences with deities. Or experiences that are different but still are them. I am so happy I began worshipping these deities.
Zep Tepi means something specific to me. It’s hard to articulate what I want to share about it, and I’ve re-written this multiple times now. The actual, detailed historical and cultural information about it should come from sources that are better qualified and read than me. Given that disclaimer, it means something different to me as a singular, solitary human in this day and age compared to those from long before. Zep Tepi, like all other aspects of Kemeticism, is a broad concept full of smaller concepts and meanings stacked on top of each other in varying degrees of opacity. The original event itself is a triumph over Nothing and proof of the strength and skill of the one who made Something. On a human scale, it’s actively choosing to contribute to Ma’at and cutting out i/s/f/e/t in a way that mimics the creation of order and structure on a comparatively infinitesimal scale. I know for a fact the way we view and uphold it now is completely different from how it was viewed and upheld in the past. But that’s kind of what makes it beautiful, right?
The things that I am doing, even if it’s just the basic structural integrity of not giving up and cultivating hope, are all contributing to the much bigger picture that transcends time and space. By not giving up or conforming to what I’m not, by refusing to give in to the ease of not giving a shit about other people or the planet, by actively choosing to do the right thing for myself and others, I am contributing to the same force that keeps the world alive. I am following along with the divine and embodying it to the best of my ability, walking along well-worn paths created by the gods and trekked along by generations and generations before mine.
Even when I feel like I haven’t done my best, or judge myself harshly because of perfectionism or trauma, Zep Tepi is a constant reminder and opportunity for change. It’s the idea and positive catalyst to knowing that things can be wonderfully different. It isn’t easy; very few things are, really. But there’s always the opportunity to get up day after day, moment after moment and work to do better. To be stubborn in my having hope and letting it drive my will to be. To fight against things that cause harm and apathy and destruction just by staying alive and doing my best to help whoever I can however I can do the same. It’s never too late, and there is always an opportunity for change. For growth, for safety, for strength, for hope. Zep Tepi.
Thanks for reading.
