I had to clip this scene myself so please enjoy this from Season 2 episode 7 Eye of the Beholder of Gargoyles (obviously avoid if you don't want spoilers)
Gargoyles perfectly summed up why Generative AI & LLM's are wrong and dumb back in 1995 and for some reason we didn't listen to Goliath.
potentially my final post on this hell site
Me and my cousin have an ongoing bit where we pretend we made "slightly better" versions of things where we'll be like.
"That was a pretty good movie, but not as good as my movie, House of 1001 Corpses," or "I guess this song is okay. Kind of reminds me of a song I'm working on called 'Faster Car'."
Never once has it been funny or made anyone but us laugh.
This reminds me of a joke I have with two of my cousins
this is better than the entirety of the deathnote anime
[Image text: two tweets from orville perker @ literate_coyote. the first says “stone butch blues does not end with jess figuring out where exactly they fit between “butch lesbian” and “trans masc” but ends with them becoming a communist. organized labor and revolutionary politics is what saved them, not figuring out a specific identity. this is important.”
The second tweet says, “the book isn’t really about figuring out where you fit in this huge spectrum of labels (esp micro identities) but to find solidarity with workers like yourself, to organize along lines of shared needs like workplace safety or healthcare, because that’s how we get liberation.” End Text.]
Does anyone know where I can find this text because????? Holy hell that’s not happening

Leslie Feinberg worked up to a few days before hir death to make sure hir groundbreaking book was available to all, for free. Never ever pay a dirtbag who charges a fortune for some rare old copy. Download this book for free or buy a print copy for dirt cheap. It’s what Leslie wants.
the Simpsons Shitposting fb page is on another level
Kind of obsessed with this woman's freakishly modern jacket from 1904.
The complete lack of shoulder definition gives it the silhouette of an MA-1 bomber jacket, but bombers weren't even a thing yet. The Wright brothers barely achieved powered flight in 1903. The ribbing on the shoulder and the angular cutouts with the hexagonal mesh are so futuristic and cyberpunk, but even art deco wouldn't be a thing for another 15 years. The color is like a dusty NASA flight suit. All together it's giving lone spacefarer crash landing their tiny rustbucket ship on Mars.
Truly a visionary of her time.

The installation consists of 1,200 glass shards, each of which is aligned by hand. The train is moved centimeter by centimeter and each new glass shard is turned into the correct position so that the beam of light is directed to the next glass shard. As soon as the train starts moving, this creates a chain reaction of light...
Doges
i genuinely can't fucking deal with the larger internet anymore holy shit what the fuck are you people TALKING about. i am at my limit with this stupid bullshit. who the fuck cares if a man is hired to draw medical diagrams for young girls jesus christ we're pearl clutching about medical illustrations now? next you're gonna tell me male pediatricians shouldn't advise parents on their kids' vulva issues? male surgeons shouldn't be in the room when performing a procedure where a woman's breasts or vulva might be exposed? male researchers shouldn't conduct gynecological medical research? sure. better for men to live in ignorance and NEVER ally themselves with us to expand access to sexual education and reproductive healthcare i fucking guess. Twenty thousand likes. i hate it here KILL ME
THIS is the post that got me my first ever anon hate. i'd like to thank the academy tbh
also not related but can ppl on this post being like "yeah STOP being mean to men!!" pls stop cuz that's not the point of what i was saying 💀 i'm not mad bc someone was mean to a man i'm mad bc feminism is being hijacked by bioessentialist conservative Christian moralist bullshit where the goal seems to be the complete and total segregation of women from men instead of like, the material improvement of women's lives. i don't care if some intsta commenter is mean to men i care that feminism is culturally turning into Nu Conservatism
"How does the literal imperial family seem to end up having worse health outcomes than a random minor aristocratic house?"
"Well there were several hundred years where various Fujiwara clan heads did a pretty good job making sure ~every Empress was one of their daughters. So that probably didn't help.
Actually you should really be complimenting them for not ending up like the Habsburgs."
To Explain the Glorious 25th of May
For those of my followers who are confused, here’s a brief explanation.
In the Discworld book Night Watch, the 25th of May is the anniversary of the Revolution of Treacle Mine Road, otherwise known as the Glorious 25th of May. This was a relatively minor skirmish in the city’s great history, a struggle for power, a liberation that removed a madman from the throne to replace him with a different madman. But it was the city fighting back against oppression and cruelty and torture.
And in the fighting seven men died. Seven graves in the cemetery. And those who were there wear the lilac to remember them.
Discworld fans use this date as a convenient date to honour Sir Terry Pratchett and to remember his work.
Because there truly are no books like them. They are so amazing, with Pratchett having an amazing insight into fantasy, as well as the depths of the human condition.
Night Watch especially shows this. It’s dark, it’s funny, it’s grim, it’s silly. It’s a book about inevitably, it’s a book about change. It’s terrifying, it’s bleak, it’s hopeful, it’s warm! It’s about a man reliving the worst days of his past, but he still strives to protect those he knows are lost. Because they’re not lost yet. They’re in front of him and he does the job in front of him.
Where, as civilians riot against the cruelty of the law, a man defends his watch house by sitting out front with a cup of lukewarm cocoa in one hand and a cigar in the other, telling the rioters he’s on break.
A book where a man must mentor his own child self. A book where he must walk his own past through the horrors he witnessed.
Where he gets so close to changing fate, before fate spins round with a haymaker.
And it’s also a book where the chant of the revolution is “Truth, Justice, Freedom, Reasonably Priced Love, and a Hardboiled Egg.”
Where there is an old soldiers song about angels sticking their arses in the air, that just might make you weep.
We love you, Sir Terry Pratchett.
How do they rise up?

Higher For Hire is… well, hired… to bring in Cape Suzette’s newest resident: Skye Ryder. But the job’s interrupted by air pirates led by the dastardly Don Karnage! Can Baloo and Kit shake the pirates and get their mysterious passenger to safety, or is it curtains for the pilots of the Sea Duck?! Fans will have to find out by jumping onboard this high-flyin’ adventure series soaring this summer.
“I am so thrilled to be once again teaming up with the incredible Carlo Laura as we get to play in the world of the beloved TaleSpin and take things to new heights!. Pun very much intended.” - Deibert
In 2023, a reboot of the series for Disney+ was reported to be in development by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's production company Point Grey Pictures alongside Disney Television Animation however there where reports that the project got paused in January 2025.
Rogen and Goldberg currently have multiple development projects at Disney Entertaiment across TV and Films as part of an overall deal with the company. So it's more likely that the show could have returned back on track at Disney Television Animation specially with the sucess of their Apple TV series "The Studio" during the awards season in 2025/2026 and the critical acclaim of Rogen's new animated drama film "Tangles" during Cannes 2026.
