THE ANIMORPHS30 ZINE IS HERE!!!

(And thanks to @gros-chat-fait for this beautiful cover art!!)

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the series, creators of the fanbase have come together to bring you a zine of nearly 200+ pages (at which point I'm not even sure we can call it a zine anymore! The correct term at this point would be anthology!), filled with art and writing.

You can download it as a PDF here, or if you just want to view it without downloading, it's available on Canva here.

Currently I'm still working on options for getting a printed release, but self-printing is still an option! Stay tuned—there should be a self-print mirror available shortly (I'll just need to change some links to QR codes, among other things).

Okay, I think that's all I have to say for now! Here's to thirty years!!!

Okay, so what if Ax was allergic to one (or more) of the humans when he did the Frolis manuver? Would he only barf out the one he's allergic to, or would he barf out the whole Ax human form, thus creating a new life completely unconnected from any of them? What if he was allergic to all four, and barfed out four exact copies of them early in the war? Which is worst?

Ax is allergic to Rachel, so he barfs out one copy of Rachel. But! The Rachel he acquired had the morphing power, so Rachel² also has the morphing power. She is, unfortunately, allergic to Marco (which she could have told you before), and a little bit of his DNA got caught up in Rachel², so she barfs up a little teacup sized Marco.

thinking about how Marco and Tobias can both be read as having a crush on Jake, and how all it takes for Tobias to stop idolising Jake is the events at the Yeerk pool in #1. He is so used to being let down that it feels inevitable that Jake wouldn’t meet the standards Tobias had held him to.

But Marco never stops looking up to Jake. For someone who is normally such a realist, and so pragmatic, he views Jake in such an idealistic way. He doesn’t let himself view Jake’s flaws, and thats why he is so frustrated and worried when Jake freezes in combat, or lets his emotions get in the way (#16 or #31). Even though he is Jake’s best friend, he ultimately does fall victim to seeing Jake as ‘the fearless leader’. He views Jake as being above that, and if Jake can’t stop his emotions from getting in the way of the War, how does that affect the way Marco thinks about things? And wont that affect the way Jake sees Marco, as the Ruthless machine?
