We need more fucking trans doctors. Holy shit. We really, really need more trans doctors.

We need more doctors who take the medication that they’re prescribing. More doctors who are in the community of the people they’re treating. Who actually have a stake in those treatments and who will understand the necessities and the effects of them. Who will actually believe what their patients tell them.

I’m so fucking tired of having to kowtow to people who are just trying to push me through as fast and easy as possible. Who don’t actually care about advancements in treatment or alternative options. Whose response to my questions and concerns and follow up care is just a shrug.

Every time I look into how I could have gotten something done a certain way I find that my doctors lied again for the sake of convenience. Or misled me so that they would get my money instead of someone else. I don’t give a shit that it’s just a job for so many of them. For me it’s my life.
