2 WEEKS SOBER!!! 🎉 the picture on the left is a picture I took 2 days ago now that I'm sober. The one on the right is off me bang smack in the middle of my relapse when my drug taking behaviours got really bad. I honestly look grey in it. I remember turning on my camera and it accidentally showing my face and I was stunned and nearly in tears to see what I had become. Yet the hook on me was so strong that not even that harsh reality could deter me from using again and again. I am so proud to finally have put that hopefully behind me and looking fresh and vibrant again. Life is on track and have already released a blog post (which you can find the link in bio) and have achieved over 30KM in running 💪💪 life is finally feeling good again. In my last two posts of my day count of sobriety I ended with thanking those around me who I felt deserved some love and recognition. Today I end on the same note but this time recognising and showing love to myself for doing the hard work that has to be done and finally deciding to be kind to myself and giving myself the forgiveness that I need. 1 WEEEEK!!!!! this is the first time in over 6 months that I have not had any slip ups. I'm honestly so happy and proud to announce I've knocked off my first milestone of 1 week, it may seem small to some but to those who have gone through the same thing as me will understand how big of a step this is on my road to recovery.
