they are sitting there waiting for this to blow over. they're watching to see whether we will give up and go back to our normal reblogging habits. if we do that, they've won. they have free license to make this the Twitter-lite influencer hellscape their shareholders get wet dreams about.
keep replying to their announcement post, both versions. keep sending feedback. cancel Tumblr Premium. leave 1 star reviews on the app store. interact with all the posts about this you can and let everyone know what they're doing. however you are engaging, be loud, and be unsatisfied.
do not let them take away the best thing this site has going for it: how its community interacts with each other.
This took longer than I would have liked to get out because I was having such difficulty working with video editors... BUT we're here now! Finally ^)
Rest of the devlog update is below the cut! đşđ
So! I'm not as far along as I would have LIKED to be by this point, but I'm still working on stuff!
I had to do a LOT of backpedaling-- and by that I mean, developing some background story elements I didn't have before and plan out various gameplay aspects more succinctly. I was getting lost trying to keep track of things in the way that I was before, but I've got better flow now!
Similarly, I think I have a more solid grasp on how I want the game to turn out in the end. Pretty much every part I've made at least an operational, basic version of within the game's current code, aside from the endings, two dates, and sort of an... "aside" story? It's hard to explain without context...
On the art side of things, I've:
Made the CG pictured above, which marks all of the CG's for Tenna's Route complete!
Drafted the CG's for Tenna's Good Ending.
Cleaned up the quiz board BG from the placeholder one I was using prior (which was seen in this video I posted the other week)
Animated 2 different Dark Fountain sprites... I am not an animator. This took. way too long.
Painted another 7 BG's. Which sounds like a lot, but when they're all (mostly) the same palette and very blobby, really not that difficult. There's only 2 more left for me to do!
Made 22 sprites for a third character. It's far too many for how little the char is involved. Oh, how my brainrot takes over...
Made 1 sprite for a fourth character. Trust me, he only needs one.
Finished the sprites for ALL the items... minus one. Because I just remembered it now. But there's 27 items in total, and 2 of them have 4 variants.
Drew out a 4th cutscene, to go with the 3 I mentioned before. I've totalled out the cutscenes to be 9-- which makes this 4/9 complete!
Finished the art for the "shop intermission."
Made more pixel sprites for the Legend of Tenna-style minigame
Made another two music covers-- one is the "Green Room" cover in today's video, and the other... well, if I said the title, it would spoil the secret date character!
For the writing and programming side of things:
ALMOST finished Tenna's second date. It's lowkey been driving me mad, but I'll get through it ^)
Started writing the first of the two [Weird] Route dates.
Started writing the secret date.
Almost done implementing the main point-n-click section featured in the [Weird] Route. It's much longer than the one in Tenna's Route and has some classic point-n-click style puzzle solving via searching for items.
In relation to that, the "aside" story I mentioned earlier is included in this point-n-click section, which I wrote out one part for but it's very rough otherwise.
There'll be 3 Legend of Tenna-style minigames in total: one of them is complete, another is about 90% complete, and the remaining I haven't started on yet.
Fully implimented all of the cutscenes I've made art for, and partially implimented all the remaining ones (since the script is written out)
Made it so both shops are fully functional with all the items they have to sell. For the second shop, which is available during [Weird] Route, the "Talk" dialogue will change between the two [Weird] Route dates, but I haven't added that yet. The first "shop intermission" is fully complete.
I lump writing and programming together because I tend to either do game writing as if it were code in a separate program and then copy-and-paste it into the code, or I write directly in the code itself. Otherwise I get too exhausted at the thought of reformatting it...
My to-do list is very long, so I'll spare you guys the nitty gritty, but the MAIN ASPECTS I've got planned out for the FINAL GAME (as of right now, these are subject to change) include:
Tenna's Route:
â Route Introduction [COMPLETE]
â Quiz Date [COMPLETE]
â Point-n-Click section [COMPLETE]
â Shop Intermission [COMPLETE]
â "Park" Date [Started, not yet complete]
â Route "Ending" [COMPLETE]
â Good Ending [Started, not yet complete]
â "Bad" Ending [Started, not yet complete]
[Weird] Route:
đ Route Introduction [COMPLETE]
đ Point-n-Click section 1 [Started, not yet complete]
đ Shop Interactions [COMPLETE]
đ First Date [Started, not yet complete]
đ Point-n-Click section 2 [Started, not yet complete]
đ Second Date [not started]
đ Good Ending [Started, not yet complete]
đ "Bad" Ending [Started, not yet complete]
Other Things:
đ "Aside" Story(?) [Started, not yet complete]
đ Secret Date [Started, not yet complete]
đ "Secret" Ending [Started, not yet complete]
đ (Actually) Secret Ending [Started, not yet complete]
Again, there's a lot of things I'm glossing over but... main aspects! Trying to keep it brief and not show off TOO much. But know I am clawing at my cage begging to talk for days about what I've been working on.
Remember that "You love TV, right?" video from earlier? There was a hint of the Dark World ILTV will take place in, although it was blocked off by the VERY bright board in front of it... hm. Wonder why that is.
Well, why don't I show off that BG anyway!
... Looks pretty bleak if you ask me.
Annnd it looks like I'm all out of time today, folks! What? This is a text post and there's no time limit? That can't be right.
I wish I could say things have gotten better but theyâve gotten worse and I donât know what to do. I hate that Iâm asking for help again but I genuinely just donât know how to get out of this on my own. Continue reading below for more information.
Please only donate if youâre financially able, I wouldnât want to put others who are struggling in a worse scenario.

Finally, you can have a critter of your very own! Or 50 of them! Your call!
Looplet features a couple more traits than your standard shimeji, including some interactions, a hotspot (so you can pet them) and adjusted chances for various animations to play. Ultimately, they'll make doing anything on your computer 5x harder by running around and distracting you constantly :)
This shimeji contains vague spoilers for lategame In Stars and Time, but you can probably get away with using them if u haven't finished the game, since they are so so vague. Still, be mindful of this if you care about spoilers!
To use the shimeji simply download, unzip, make sure you have Javascript 8 installed, and doubleclick the jar file inside the folder!
If you have any other issues running the shimeji, please consult the readme txt inside the folder.
ALSO! If you encounter any bugs while using the shimeji, please let me know! Editing the code was a bit nightmarish (there's so little documentation online) so it's a bit held together with duct tape and I wouldn't be surprised if anything went wrong. As a side note, yes the 'dragging' animation will delete one of the looplets if cloning is disabled, unfortunately there's nothing I can do about that one đ
In any case⌠have fun, everyone!

160 blogs, 8.22gb of edits, nearly 20k images!!!!Â
Done with [a lot] help by the incredible @etherealascend, wouldnât be possible without him.
If you are unfamiliar with the archive, this is a collection of edits that were created by tumblr users, sorted by blog name! The goal is to save edits and editors works. This also includes deactivated accounts, collected by me and albeon by hand.Â
(Note: This archive is completely up to date as of 7/10/23. Deactivated accounts are mostly archived after deactivation and therefore likely incomplete.)
