Hi there! I’ve been following Right Where You Left Me since October, but have yet to express my tremendous appreciation for this fic. So here’s a some fanart of the line that broke all of your readers’ hearts and some love <333. Thanks so much for sharing this story. :)

Oh, my. What a lovely surprise to find in my inbox, thank you for sharing your talent with me! 💜💜 This is such a sweet gesture, and to have paid tribute to one of my favourite scenes, I dearly appreciate it. Thank you kindly! Also the symbolism of Buck in black and white while Chris and Eddie are in colour. 💔💔

I've noticed my inbox here and on ao3 are piling up. Rest assured I saw everything, dearly appreciate everything, in spite of not having found the time to reply. I will get to them eventually. From stuff about Right Where You Left Me to random wee woo thoughts this past season, I just wanted to let you know that I have gratitude for every kind comment and message across both platforms.

I have been trying, to varying success, to find the opportunity to enjoy fandom and writing. Recently I came to realise I left one abusive situation for another, accepted my reality, and am still painstakingly working my way to get out. There is a chance I might be able to leave next year, but nothing's set in stone. I guess all I can do is pray and try my best to exist.

Bi!Buck has honestly been a pleasant surprise. I've experienced a good number of media that queerbaited me over the years that I no longer held out hope it was going to happen in canon so when it finally did it feels like a fever dream. Still, it sure is wholesome to see Buck finally be at ease with himself. And it's just really heartening to see bisexual representation in a very fleshed out character who's faced so much adversity. He truly deserves to know this side of himself and feel complete in his skin. We can rejoice for this wonderful chapter ahead of him regardless of where his romantic interest lies. :')

Eddie, Eddie, Eddie. Chapter 22 of Right Where You Left Me is up!

Lord. The past two months have been something. I've had a lot of life stuff happen, including a death in the family and a funeral for said death. Still I think grief and mental illness are uniquely complex yet universal experiences, and things that should be normalised. Life goes on and we have to take it one day at a time.

On a more positive note, we've reached the long awaited POV shift, and as you can probably guess, this is Eddie's time in the limelight. Chapter 22 is a 170-page document on Google Docs and is roughly 56k. It's absurd. Truly unhinged when I think of the start of this story.

Moreover, to me it's an exercise in endurance, a character study, too, because we've stayed in Buck's head all this time, and Eddie's perspective is challenging, refreshingly new, and overall an interesting place to be. Given how isolated Buck has been in his declining mental health, delving into Eddie's world means we get to spend more time with the other members of the 118 too.

I hope you enjoy this chapter, and as always I dearly appreciate your engagement. Writing is a solitary endeavour and receiving your support, your encouragement truly keeps me going. It means more than I can say.

I’ve been following Right Where You Left Me for a while now and have time and time again found myself rereading it and being emotionally destroyed each and every time I’ve read it. I know you have your soundtrack for certain parts which is always amazing because it does help convey the emotions. But sometime I auto play some of my playlists and let me tell you I have hurt myself with that. Reading your story and listening to “The Night We Met” by Lord Huron has nearly made me stop and sob a varying parts of your story.

I just found your tumblr so I wanted to say this here too, thank you for this amazing work. With how long this next chapter is I know it must be so emotionally draining (but satisfying) to write this story. And a second thank you for this upcoming chapter that I know will once again emotionally destroy my heart and soul.

Heyyy I'm very excited for this monster of a chapter and I know that getting Eddie's point of view during chapters 1-21 is going to destroy me. I'm going to be devastated and I'm fully prepared to dedicate a day to it. Do you have a new prediction on the word count for this chapter?? Also you totally dont have to answer this if you want to keep spoilers to a minimum or something but will this new chapter stop once they find Buck or will it go past chapter 21 until they find out what been happening with Wells?? And will chapters 23 onwards be back to Buck's point of view or will it swap between Buck/Eddie/Other povs?? Also I reread chapter 21 like right before writing this and god the Bobby and Buck of it all. The way you've written their relationship SO lovingly I can't get enough of it

Hopefully we can cap this at 60k.

Despite a good chunk of this is Eddie from earlier timelines, we will definitely go past chapter 21.

Aiming to return to Buck's POV for the next ones, though since this is third person there will also be scenes of the 118 without him. And when this man is K.O.'d, we'll likely spend time with other characters i.e. Maddie &/ Bobby, who are crucial to his recovery.

Speaking of Bobby, thank you for voicing your appreciation for his relationship with Buck in this verse as it is probably my favourite to expand on, I just love this father-son duo in all but blood, same as Buck and Chris. :')

How is the next chapter of Right Where You Left Me going? I saw your chapter word count post the other week and the fact that this 1 chapter could potentially be as long as half the entire fic is crazy! I can't wait to read the fallout of chapter 21.

The length is crazy, but it makes sense considering it's more or less everything from Eddie's POV. I am hopefully going back to a humane 10k limit on the upcoming chapters.

Which one of these do you think most accurately represents how Eddie cries in different parts of right where you left me

Bahaha. I am personally into the stuff from s3 be it the present day or the bits from Eddie Begins. Those hit hardest for me, like he looks destroyed. Definitely not the acid trip one. S5 for Fear-o-phobia and the scene with Ramon are alright. 4x06 isn't bad either. It's all about those shiny eyes.

Honestly don't know how long this next chapter of Right Where You Left Me is going to be. Current draft is at 37k. I'm predicting 50k at this point. I will look at Eddie's bedhead for strength. 💀💀
