I really need an audio of Maia Reficco singing Superboy and the invisible girl in the new Next to Normal production
how eurydice might’ve felt
the five thoughts that might’ve crossed eurydice’s mind when orpheus turned around
- It was over before it began. Orpheus turned his head, almost barely, almost not enough, almost unnoticeable. Eurydice’s head hit the stone behind her as she slid slowly down the cave wall and bleak light filled her mind. Hades touched her on the shoulder. She followed him down the tunnel without complaint, without looking back.
“Eurydice!”
- Breath got to her lungs before rational thoughts. In a way, she was grateful that he had decided to be the foolish boy she had fallen for. There was something all too alluring about the inky blackness of Hadestown, and she gave Orpheus one last damp smile before swallowing herself whole. Eurydice was finally where she could be free.
- She was hungry. Not for food, for wine, but the smell of daisies. Sunshine dancing across her skin. Her lover’s rough fingers sliding slowly into her palm. Dancing through dewy grass in the moonlight. She hadn’t felt the emptiness take its toil in such a long while, but watching her beloved turn his head, turning his whole body to face her, she realized that he had been hungry too. The starving lovers were left devouring one another as she was dragged back into the belly of the beast.
- Laughter bubbled to the surface before Eurydice could stop it. An artist could never stick to the plan, Hades knew. The boy who promised her that all of nature would bow down for his music couldn’t swear to her five steps of restraint. Orpheus’s last memory of the girl was tainted with the golden peals of laughter chasing him back to the Earth.
- She closed her eyes. She did not want to tempt herself, to tempt fate, to tempt him. She only wanted to think hard about what he was sculpted as, the strong jaw and deep, golden brown eyes. The dimples when she was telling an especially bad joke. Curls by the handful, unruly at their best and soft to the touch. Able hands willing to help all in need, idle hands for when the slow moments became his unbearable moments. She was so close to being held tightly in his arms once again. She was so close to being brought back by the man she called hers. Finally the anticipation crawled over, under, through and around her body like ants and her eyes flew open, if only for one moment, and suddenly she knew that Orpheus would have to make a home without her.
If only she had waited.

Normal brain: Black Friday is an alternate-timeline spinoff with little to no references to The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals
Glowing brain: Black Friday is a prequel to TGWDLM with lots of funny and sad foreshadowing and more backstory to TGWDLM characters
Galaxy brain: Black Friday is a sequel to TGWDLM where the Apotheosis took over the world but then went back to living regular human lives but with more singing and dancing. The infected are angry that an evil toy is trying to take over Hatchetfield because they Already Did That. Paul and Emma lead a sinister singing crusade against the equally sinister singing toys
*survives another year*
Finally finished the complete line-up for the Monty Python and the Holy Grail piece!

ANY TIME SOMEONE SHAMES YOU FOR WRITING FANFICTION
REMEMBER THAT THIS
IS FANFICTION OF THIS
THIS
IS FANFICTION OF THIS

IS FANFICTION OF THIS and Plato’s Ring of Gyges
AND THIS
A MODERN AU OC-CENTRIC VERSION OF THIS
EVERYTHING IS FANFICTION OF SOMETHING, WE ONLY CARE THAT IT’S GOOD AND MAKES US HAPPY
hey so I came across this on 4chan, apparently it’s getting review bombed by seething anti-sjws who see this cartoon made for girls as an attack on manhood or some shit. it’s pathetic and I doubt this show deserves that
so yeah, if anyone wants to write some better reviews… I’m not saying you have to write anything good about it, dunk on it if you like, I’m just saying it would be nice if people who actually watched it (I haven’t yet personally) gave it some reviews based on it’s actual merits and flaws
I’ve honestly been expecting this to happen ever since the show was announced. Geek culture is filled to the BRIM with toxic masculinity from guys who spent decades getting picked on. Their anger turns to gatekeeping and they see ANYONE getting into THEIR fandoms as a THREAT that must be stopped. And of course, since geek culture is predominately filled with straight white men, they see any deviation from this “norm” as a threat as well.
If it doesn’t cater to THEM, then it doesn’t deserve to exist as far as they’re concerned. And how DARE women enjoy something without THEIR approval, right?
The fact that these review bombs keep happening to any media that breaks from the stagnating mold, is a blight on geek culture as a whole. We’re BETTER than this. Grow up and let people enjoy stuff. Stop gatekeeping and stop dissing stuff that’s most likely not meant for you. You don’t have to watch it, and you lose nothing by ignoring it.
Seriously though, if any of my fans want to go over there and post some positive reviews, please do so. Try to combat this nonsense if you can.
Bi-monthly Entertainment News!
“How dare She-Ra / Star Wars / Dr. Who star a girl, spit middle-aged losers who immediately and vengefully spend way more time than necessary demonising and trying to destroy the reputation of a piece of fiction not aimed at them primarily”
Rinse, repeat article.
It’s so GOOD, too!
I put in my review- audience score is now up to 63%!
Also, the majority of rude comments are like ‘the original was better’ but have like… y’all seen the original? I mean sure- I ate it up as a kid, but… seriously.
I mean people can enjoy the original for nostalgia but it was nothing but a 30 minute cartoon
I sincerely doubt many of these people actually watched the original. Plenty of them are probably my age and are too young for it. They just want to spit on girl friendly content made by a queer creator because it’s not created with the male geek gaze in mind.
A real fuckin thing this man actually tweeted
