The clouds consumed the valley. The hills looked like they were floating among the clouds.  It was cold, but not unpleasantly cold. The air was under constant flow, lighter than a breeze. There was no horizon. The clouds and hills were never-ending. One could breathe freedom.

Don’t confuse these words

Avenge and Revenge

When you take 'revenge', you look for retribution for the wrong done to you. When you 'avenge', you are taking revenge for your loved one or someone close to you.

Mucus and Mucous

‘Mucus’ is a noun for the bodily fluid secreted by membranes (like your nose when you have a cold).

‘Mucous’ is the adjective form of Mucus. 

Licence and License

‘Licence’ is a noun for a permit from an authority to own or use something, do a particular thing, or carry on a trade. 

‘License’ is the verb form of Licence.

Uninterested and Disinterested

'Uninterested' means ‘bored by’ or ‘not attracted to’.

'Disinterested' means being ‘neutral’, ‘impartial’.

Part II

I shake them. They turn around. They look disorganized like they had been out for a while.  "We have to go"; I get to the point. It wasn't wise to stay here with a broken limb and a bloody face; it's the time when animals come out to hunt. I tear a piece of their pant sleeve and wrap it around their broken arm with precision. I have done this a lot.

I then offer them water. They gulp down all of it. But, they reject the berries. I carry some around, just in case. The blood on their face is fresh, and a little is still flowing. We are out of water so their face can't be cleaned. I tear more cloth off their pant sleeves and use it to dab off the blood. I put their good arm around my shoulder and help them to their feet.

They are very disorganized and can't stand on their own. I lean them across a tree and find them a thick dry branch for support. They still can't walk so around the arm goes again.

I need to get to a stream to get some water, and berries and vegetation to eat. Predators will be there looking for prey and water. It's no problem to me. But, I'm not sure about this person- disorganized, broken limb, bloody. They might not know how to deal with this situation. I am not willing to hurt or kill any animals. But if I take this person, either they die, or an animal gets hurt.

So, I start in the direction away from where the stream might be in these woods.
