âAnd I want to be very clear: I am not saying that Elizabeth Warren owes this to Bernie Sanders. I agree with all the people saying she doesnât owe anything to Bernie Sanders. I do believe that as an elected politician who ran on a platform of Medicare for All, of a Green New Deal, of standing up for migrant rights and standing up against racism and standing up for womenâs rights, that she owes it to those issues, because she has spent her political career attacking so much of what Joe Biden stands for. And if her critique of Bernie Sanders is that he doesnât get things done as well as she does, I would have loved for her to say, âOK, now Iâm going to help you get things done.â And I know that our movement would have welcomed her with open arms. So, I really reject the idea that it is some kind of anti-feminist issue to say to Elizabeth Warren, âWe need you to stand with us,â because it is not about Bernie. People in this movement are not fighting for Bernie Sanders. Theyâre fighting for Medicare for All. Theyâre fighting for a Green New Deal. They are fighting for the issues that they need to survive.â

MEET THE GENIUS BUSH FAMILY; TEENS HAVE MASTERâS DEGREES, MOM IS ATTORNEY AND ARCHITECT
It has to be Americaâs most amazing family. Meet the Bushes from South Florida overachievers who stand at the ready to serve their country. Gisla and Bobby Bush have 9 children, who are some of the brightest young minds in the US.
Three of the oldest had graduated from college while they were still teenagers.
Gabrielle Bush graduated from college with a Bachelorâs Degree in health administration at 18. At 19 she received her Masterâs Degree in public administration.
Grace Bush graduated from high school and college in the same week at 16. At 18 she earned her Masterâs Degree in public administration.
Gisla Bush was only 18 when she graduated from college with a Bachelorâs Degree in urban design.
Other children are home-schooled as the rest of the family. All of them play musical instruments.
Their mom was asked about the secret source:
I bet you havenât heard about this family that raise prodigy kids. The media always keep silent about successful Black people.Â
Thatâs why representation matters.
Hazel Scott playing two pianos at the same damn time with ease
Hazel Scott was a musical sorcerer and a civil rights hero. Â She:
was admitted to Julliard at 8. Â
was performing in top venues by 16. Â
pioneered âswinging the classicsâ and made the equivalent of a million dollars a year doing it. Â
was the first person of color to have their own national TV show. Â
went to Hollywood but refused to be cast as a âsinging maid.â  Demanded and got control over her casting, her wardrobe, and how footage featuring her was cut. Â
refused to perform in segregated venues and led charges for integration in several northern cities, notably Spokane. Â
She was brought down by the House Committee on Unamerican Activities, and has been largely forgotten. Â But she was a sorcerer, and a hero. Â

Letâs un-forget her.

it was being down-voted by people who didnât even watch it.
My favorite part is that they have 31 sources linked in the video.

But people somehow manage to think this video is wrong because their beliefs somehow outweigh the careers of the people who put work towards those 31 pieces of source material. Blows my mind.

Hatuey, Vodun and the Haitian Revolution
Paraphrasing Hatuey the Quisqueyan Taino Cacique that was burned at the stake for being one of the first to defend against the evils of colonialism:
âAre there people like you in heaven? If there are Iâd rather go to hell so as to not be near the cruelness of Christiansâ
The Spirit of Hatuey has continued to make his presence known not only within his homeland of Haiti but across the Caribbean. We call him the Father of the Resurgence or more precisely the Father of the Resistance! Hatuey was a great Casike, whose name means âCertainty of the Sunâ. He had been engaging guerilla warfare in Cuba against the invading Spanish and warning the Taino people of Cuba about the evil nature of the Christian invaders. He warned his people of the cruel and wicked nature of these Christians telling of their loyalty and love for THEIR god, Gold and Jewels (money), making a clear distinction between the object of the Christianâs worship and the Taino understanding of their own âDeitiesâ. The Christians captured Hatuey (possibly it is said through a betrayal from one of his own), tied him to a stake and prepared to burn him alive. A monk attempted to convert Hatuey to Christianity, and told him that if he believed in Christianity he (Hatuey) would go to âheavenâ where there would be glory and eternal rest or if he did not believe in Christianity he (Hatuey) would go to hell, where he would suffer torments and punishment. Hatuey was silent for a short time, then he asked the monk if the Christians went to heaven, and the monk said that the good Christians went to heaven. Hatuey immediately answered that he did not want to go to heaven, but would rather go to hell so as to not be in the same place as the cruel Christians. Hatuey was subsequently burnt at the stake and it is said that his Soul flew immediately to the Sun. Hatuey refused to submit to entrapment by the Christians, he maintained the integrity of his Soul and Spirit by refusing at a moment of intense torture to compromise with the Christian god whom he knew to be evil based on the actions of this godâs followers. Remember Hatuey had been witness to mass murder, genocide, rape, murder of unborn children and the total desecration of the sacredness of his Yukayekes by these Christians who said that they came in the name of God and Christ. He understood the true deity that these people were worshiping and refused any deals with this evil entity (the beast). After Hatueyâs death, the war between the Taino and the Spaniards continued. When the Spaniards began to import Africans in the chains of slavery they began with Black Muslims from Spain itself. These Muslims immediately rebelled escaping to the mountains and hills joining with the Taino and forming the first Maroon People. After this the Spainards became afraid to import more Muslims and began bringing Africans directly from Africa, most of whom were following various African Spiritual Traditions, these people also rebelled, many finding their ways to Maroon communities and also developing the tradition of Vodou within the communities and in secret upon the plantations. As the French gained control of Haiti they launched a massive exploitation of the Land itself and the people of the land, Haiti is still recovering from this exploitation, as well as more modern exploitations of the elite. Within the tradition of Vodou the Rada Cult is Dahomeyan in nature, more peaceful and sedate due to the influence from the nations of Africa which had solid social structures, cities, centralized authority and stable, peaceful (for the most part) kingdoms. However, the more violent and explosive Petro Cult is born from the synthesis of the tradition of the Taino-Arawak people and the traditions of the Congo and other African peoples. It was the Petro cult that was more rebellious and gave rise directly to the Haitian Revolution that put Fear in the heart of every slave-owner across the planet!

"This is my idea of when America was great: when there were 8,000 varieties of corn ... when there were 50 million buffalo, the single largest migratory herd in the world ... in a territory with 250 different species of grass. Tremendous biodiversity: that is where life is, in biodiversity. Today, in the same landscape, you and I know that does not exist."

âIn the beginning, I had certain ideas about mindfulness, meditation, and Buddhism. After ten years of practice, I had a much better understanding. Then after forty years or fifty years, my insight and understanding had become even deeper. We are all on a path, we are all making progress, and along the way we need to be ready to abandon our current view so we can be open to a new, better and deeper view, one which brings us closer to the truth; one which is more helpful for transforming our suffering and cultivating happiness. Whatever views we hold, we should be careful not to get caught up in thinking that our view is the âbestâ and that only we have the truth. The spirit of Buddhism is very tolerant. We should always keep our hearts open to the people who have different views or beliefs. Practicing openness and non-attachment to views is fundamental in Buddhism. That is why, even though there are dozens of different schools of Buddhism, Buddhists have never waged a holy war against each other.â

Teenaged girl becomes a resistance symbol for her peaceful reading of the Russian constitution to a Putin goon-squad (they beat her up later)
Article 31 of the Russian constitution guarantees the right to peaceful political assembly, which is why Russian opposition protesters like to wave copies of the constitution around as Putinâs goon-squads descend on them to dole out savage beatings and mass arrests.
On Saturday, a 17 year old woman from Moscow named Olga Misik sat down in front of a line of armed, locked and loaded riot cops and quietly read the constitution to them, setting up a photo-op of the genre that includes Tiananmen Squareâs Tank Man, Taking a Stand in Baton Rouge, and the photos of a pigtailed, defiant Greta Thunberg standing alone in the cold before the Swedish legislature.
Misik was part of a protest over the banning of leading opposition politicians from upcoming municipal elections in Moscow. She says that after the protest, she was beset by riot cops who beat her up and then arrested her. She faces charges for âattending a public event which was held without filing a notice.â
Misik is an articulate spokeswoman for protest, grounding her action in a wider context: âInjustice always concerns everyone. Today the Moscow City Duma, tomorrow the governor of the region, a week later the head of the Resurrection District. It is only a matter of time. It is foolish to think that this is a rally only for free elections or the admission of candidates. This is a rally in defence of elementary constitutional rights that would not be questioned in a democratic state.â
The pictures and videos of Misik reading to the riot squad have become a rallying point for the opposition.
Misikâs father is a Putin supporter.

Do this four times repeatedly and youâll be out. But how does it work? Thereâs some real brain science behind it.
Weâre trying this tonight!
Itâs about time someone got around to uncovering all the cheat codes for this âhuman beingâ software. Itâs only been out for like 10,000 years.
?????????????
Iâve used this technique for about a year, and I can safely say that it has efficiently transformed my sleeping habits from several hours of struggle to fall asleep, to passing out in a matter of minutes.
Itâs a form of Alexander Technique. Itâs a technique that was designed for actors to keep their body in ready working condition and give it the best way to perform. This is the method used to calm, and center the body. Once the body is at that point it can perform anything you want it to.
Reblogging for later reference after I tried it earlier today to try to calm down. It actually does help a lot, not just for sleep but if you have problems with anxiety.
My default mental setting is âvibrating intensely in the background.â After doing this, I felt noticeably calm and relaxed - I wasnât as fixated on my breathing, I wasnât tense, my movements werenât jerky and I didnât feel like I had to be as tense as possible to be under control. 10/10 would recommend.
me gonna try it
dont wanna reblog but insomnia is a bitch for some ppl so heres for my mutuals having trouble sleeping.
It also explains why we, as a culture, struggle to take bullying seriously; being bullied is fairly close to the default schooling experience anyway. Children are regularly forced to be in a particular place doing things that they donât want to be doing. Having an especially obnoxious set of peers doesnât seem like a far leap from the initial premise. To really undo bullying, we would need to drastically change the entire structure of education, and that is a deeply threatening. Who will do the difficult, miserable, and dangerous jobs once we stop brainwashing children into doing what they are told?
