I heard that PHM and all of the author's other books after The Martian were basically just the same as The Martian. I loved that book, but I don't want to read the others if they have nothing new to say. Without spoiling, what all did you think? Is it substantially different than The Martian or are Project Hail Mary and his other books just the same story written in different fonts?

Good morning, book lovers and bookish bats. I'm not sure where this trend started (otherwise I would tag that Bookstagrammer, so if you know, lemme know) and honestly, I let my completed, ready-to-go post sit for the longest time. Why? Because a five-star read is super rare and special to me. Because when I've read a top tier book, I make sure you bats KNOW. You see me mention it a million times in posts like this, in book tags and book recommendation lists. You've seen me go all heart-eyed and gooey, because when I read a five-star book, I RAVE about it. So the whole joke of this post kind of loses its meaning, considering my five-star reads are no secret. 😂
Knowing that, I'm going to challenge you today. I LOVE when my fellow Bookstagrammers can look at what I've read and raved about and can go, "This. You NEED to read this. Immediately." I've read 18 of these and am in the middle of the 19th.
But...How many of YOU have read Aunt Julia and the Scriptwriter or The House of the Spirits (both of which I loved)? Or The Death of Artemio Cruz (Which I HATED WITH THE PASSION OF A THOUSAND BURNING SUNS)?
