Announcement 1 - Where Have I Been?!
7 - "The Oxford Time Travel Series" by Connie Willis and "Villains Are Destined To Die" by Gwon Gyeoeul
Hey Bookblr! Let's talk Project Hail Mary!
I heard that PHM and all of the author's other books after The Martian were basically just the same as The Martian. I loved that book, but I don't want to read the others if they have nothing new to say. Without spoiling, what all did you think? Is it substantially different than The Martian or are Project Hail Mary and his other books just the same story written in different fonts?
A very pleasing poster design from 1974 and the slightly unexpected hand of Edward Gorey.
Books I Can't Believe People Rated Five Stars 🌟
What was your last five-star read?❓ Based on my recent five-star reads, what book would you recommend, and why did you love it?❓
LMAO This is absolutely how I felt about The Silent Patient...
"The Book of Doors" by Gareth Brown and "Haunting Adeline" by H.D. Carlton
"The Imperial Radch" Series and "A Cup of Water Under My Bed"
I Love Tumblr
One reason I love Tumblr so much is that, despite it offering photos and stuff, people love a text post most.
Seems fitting to be a book club on this platform.
How many of these have you read?
I haven't read as many of these as I'd like, but I read mostly Latin American lit in high school so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I've read 18 of these and am in the middle of the 19th. But...How many of YOU have read Aunt Julia and the Scriptwriter or The House of the Spirits (both of which I loved)? Or The Death of Artemio Cruz (Which I HATED WITH THE PASSION OF A THOUSAND BURNING SUNS)?
Exciting news! The Bring Your Own Book Club is now streaming on YouTube. As always, we remain available on TheBYOBookClub.com and wherever you get your podcasts. Stay tuned for more updates about the pod! Please subscribe, and thanks for listening.

New Episode Out Now!
New episode of The Bring Your Own Book Club podcast is out now! I'm extremely excited because, by complete coincidence, my guest (Alex) and I read the same book this time!
Join us as we discuss the astounding and, yes, wonderous #plague narrative in Geraldine Brooks' astounding novel, A Year of Wonders. This one is spoiler-heavy, but there's still so much we can't even touch on, because of how intense the book is. Give us a listen, and then give the book a read if you want!
As always, you can find the pod at https://www.thebyobookclub.com/ or wherever you get your podcasts!
4 - [SAME BOOK ALERT!] "A Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks"
3 - "The Silent Patient" and "Demon Copperhead"
2 - "The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue" and "Curves For Days"
The Bring Your Own Book Club is now streaming, wherever you get your podcasts!
I'm really excited about it. Join me and a friend every other Thursday as we discuss what we've been reading lately. This week, we're talking about The Cooking Gene by Michael Twitty and the These Hollow Vows Series by Lexi Ryan.
It's all the fun of a book club, but none of the homework!
