I am the kind of person who wakes up one morning and makes a major decision. “Today, I am going to think what my actions make the other person feel and not be pushed around.” when you have confidence in your crazy ideas, it doesn’t matter what naysayers anymore. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Though this kind of impulsive mindset backfires when I am changing a certain habit. “Why am suddenly downloading e-books for free when I used to buy each one to read? There’s something wrong! Stop!” No. ._.

I can modify BigLumpsFit’s writing method to write a chapter. This helps when I am not in the flow. I can even have an option to include subplots, backstories and whatnot.

Characters: (one has to be p.o.v.)

Plot and conflict: (I like to write them together and say ‘situation.’)

Setting: (no comment. Just don’t make it bland.)

Now make a list of words and phrases of the p.o.v. character’s general actions to include first. Now make a list for other characters’ actions. Now list metaphors, visuals, sounds and whatever that you want. Now list actions and reactions regarding the plot and conflict. Now list some objects and metaphors for the surrounding.

I see this method keeps the natural personality, voice, style and all that of your character because you have gotten it out in the form of excerpts before you write so you can keep track on their behaviour.

Next step- make this idea more deep and believable. Backstory may work as an explanation for this idea. Say, trends after WWII are quite different from IRL and Victorian style dominates the world BUT east stays a little isolated on this. That area got ignored during world wars because “the males are too pretty.” Actually, it could have happened. ._. The scary looking technologies it makes and the style -grunge and punk- it has developed (and not the Americans) kind of disturbs the people in hard Victorian styled countries. This looks good.
