That’s Ms. Bulldyke to You, Charlie! by Jane Caminos (1992)
It shouldn’t be so surprising for me to find examples of women who worry and stew and overthink about the very same things I do, but I am really struck by this. It’s funny, the things I tear myself to pieces over, I find very desirable in other women. I hope anyone out there who has these insecurities won’t feel quite as alone if you see this. Jane Caminos knew all about it back in ‘92!
And here’s an intention I’m sending out into the universe: any and all suave older women come get this trendy younger woman, I’m ready and willing and practically slobbering at the thought 🏊♀️ (and it’s ok if you get diarrhea. I will pick up some Pepto Bismol at the store)

im taking a lesbian history and literature class for a gen ed and its amazing and all the stuff we are talking about is straight out of radfem theory lol. one of our assigned books was literally about the erasure of lesbian identity by the modern “queer” community. my professor is WOKE <3
Can I get a list of them books or nah?
yes!! i dont have links bc i couldnt find them online unfortunately, but here’s the list:
- “The Price of Salt” by Patricia Highsmith
- “Rubyfruit Jungle” by Rita Mae Brown
- “The Lavender Menace: A Memoir of Liberation” by Karla Jay
- “Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic” by Alison Bechdel
- “The Disappearing L: Erasure of Lesbian Spaces and Culture” by Bonnie J Morris (currently reading)
- “Parable of the Talents” by Octavia Butler
These books have helped me understand LGB but especially lesbian culture and history a lot better! My fave so far was Rubyfruit Jungle because Rita Mae Brown is hilarious.
Hey!
If you’re a radfem into agriculture, homesteading, hunting, fishing, raising animals, living off grid, forestry, building (construction, plumbing, electric) can we get a follow train? I need more of y'all in my life.
I’m into farming btw
I grew up on a small dairy farm, and currently have a small sheep/goat farm. We grow most of our own food on the farm/gardens.
I’ve recently become interested in doing more wildlife gardening and creating habitat for more wildlife on our property. Anyone else do any wildlife gardening?
mee
I have a google drive with pdfs about starting a housing co-op, homesteading, farming, bee keeping, aquaponics etc

No need to rely on men or money
A new google drive of radfem literature has dropped. Go wild gyns!
you can’t even post pretty pictures in peace now! the thought police will suspect you if you don’t virtue signal properly! totally not a cult right?
No but we all need to read Kim Ji-young: Born 1982 to understand how fucked up the situation is even for regular women in Korea
Alright gyns, the epub and pdf versions of this book is available here

I never do this, but I actually clicked through and read the first chapter. I see how it’s definitely going to be more relatable for Korean women, but it is still very, very relatable to me who is an unmarried American woman who gets nothing but sexist bullshit and witnesses it in my mother and other family members on holidays.
Seems good so far, will read more later
Incredibly good book, during the part where her mom makes ramen, I sobbed out loud with frustration. Very relatable, and very well written. I read it in two sittings.
Having an irl friend group of lesbians would fix me
After watching "Mrs. America" in the midst of the news about Roe v. Wade, we need to go back to the activism of the 70's. We need to bring back our own radical feminist magazines, we need to have women banding together and making nuisances of ourselves in Congress and local representative's offices, we need to come up with a list of legal demands that are backed by science and research (like passing laws that companies publish employee pay, enshrine female only spaces as nondiscriminatory to men, demanding money for rape kit testing backlogs, increasing statute of limitations on medical malpractice and requiring medical institutions to differentiate on how the male and female bodies react differently to medications and diseases, national registry of animal abusers and domestic violence perpetrators, tech companies have to consider how their tech can be used for stalking, etc)
We have such a unique opportunity through radblr to coordinate nationally, to really grassroots organize each other. I'm not saying women aren't already doing this because they definitely are, but we need more. You either need to find women who are raising hell and join them, or gather women to raise hell yourself. Most of us are falling prey to bystander effect or fatigue, and feel helpless. This is your sign to go find local women and organize with them.
We need to be loud and fearless and unrelenting. We need to be smart. We need to read and discuss and act.
Reply with ideas for laws that would make women's lives better!
@radicalheartland has a list of regional tumblrs here. Go to it, connect with the one that applies to you, and get involved! Raise hell!!
It is not enough to wait for events and regional blogs and @nansheonearth's "radfems find each other" post to cross your dashboard, go find them!!
hi my name is andrea simone riverxdaughter solanas and I have short hair (that's how you know I'm a lesbian) dyed brown with organic henna and grey blue eyes like male tears and a lot of people tell me that I look like julie bindel (A/N: if u don’t know who she is get da hell out of here!) [[p.s. I’m not related to valerie solanas but I wish I was because she’s a major fucking hottie. I'm a radfem. I'm also a witch, and I go to a magic blogging platform called Tumblr on the internet where I've been blogging for twelve years (I'm old). I'm a terf (in case you couldn't tell) and I don't perform femininity. For example today I was wearing black combat boots with frida kahlo socks and rolled up acid wash mom jeans and an andrea dworkin shirt from @kronkk and no makeup. my leg hair is soft and long. I was scrolling through Tumblr. It was the same five posts all reblogged over and over again by the same group of mutuals, which I was very happy about. A lot of TIMs sent death threats to my inbox. I blocked them

This painting is a bit of a departure for me from my usual portrait art, but serves as a small attempt to channel my fury over Friday’s Supreme Court decision.
It seems women still have so much work to do to be equal citizens 💔
I am selling prints of this piece in my Etsy Store (Link in Bio) and all profits will be donated to the National Network of Abortion Funds in the USA to help provide health care to women negatively affected by this ruling.
Painted in digital gouache and gold leaf on Procreate. The nouveau style of this piece was inspired by my art hero Margaret MacDonald.
