you have to be careful reading too many things that are good/smart/well-written bc then you encounter something that isnt and you get confused like ? why didnt they just make this good ? were they stupid

the sapphic read that has swept through my life and overturned everything. incredible show-stopping world-bending gorgeous stunning. the most affecting, beautiful prose! felt so inspired and tender and remade after this book.
pls read it & chat with me!!!🚪🐇🍐
"a little touch of harry in the night" remains one of the top 3 shakespeare lines that's so fantastically stupid it instantly obliterates any chance of seriousness and loops around to being almost good. the other two being "of hotspur, coldspur?" and "o were mine eyeballs into bullets turned / that in rage i might shoot them at your faces"

huge fan of the depth of a good purple but another area that draws me is definitely around aquamarine/turquoise/seafoam. you can not go wrong once the green starts getting just a tinge more blue. a gal could certainly do worse than to pull over there and stay a while
something earth shattering going on here
this is why one of my favorite all-time paintings is Ship in Stormy Seas by Ivan Aivazovsky... he was really onto something there

THERE IS A BOAT BY IVAN AIVAZOVSKY!!
Ivan Aivazovsky could paint glowing water. One of the GOATs for sure.

Rewarding myself for reading about theory for class by reading about theory for fun.
My therapist says I should let my mind rest during breaks so as to avoid burnout. Clearly not doing very well at that. The inevitable burnout may be spectacular but before then, I’ll have gotten to think about Concepts so surely it’ll have been worth it.

time to reread this magnificent, riveting series
thinking about how Mantel writes Cromwell and Anne. How Cromwell wants to see innocence in Anne because he wants to believe it of himself. How he can't. There's only one person who's ever understood me and I hate that guy (Anne Boleyn. Thomas Cromwell.)
