Herbal Remedies
Here is a short list of simple herbal remedies you can try that I know of. I’m sorry, but I don’t know of vegan substitutes for the honey, but you can choose to just not use it.
Period Cramps: Chamomile is a natural reliever of muscle spasms. Drinking Chamomile tea with ginger, which also helps to relieve pain from cramps, is a good way to help with the period pains. If it suits you then you can add honey as a natural sweetener rather than sugar, but it isn’t required. Drink it at least twice a day. It is a GREAT investment to get a small heating pad to put over your abdomen. Completely worth every penny. (I use this tea and heating pad every period and it works like a charm)
Allergies: Drinking a warm drink with unfiltered honey from your area helps with allergies because the honey contains the pollen from your area, and can help you slowly overcome the allergies. If you have severe allergies then try to drink or eat things with the honey in it often and the symptoms should be lessened after a while.
Cold/Flu: Tea with ginger and cinnamon help to relieve the symptoms of colds and flus. Filling a bowl with hot water and 1 drop of lavender essential oil and 1 drop of sage essential oil and put a towel over you and lean over the bowl for about 20-30min. This helps clear your sinuses and throat.
Unwanted hair: Get 2 tbsp. of sugar, 10 tbsp. of water, 2 tsp. of lemon juice and mix water and sugar in a bowl together first until the sugar is dissolved, then add the lemon juice. Rub it on the hair growth in the direction of the hair. Wash it off after 20min. The lemon juice will bleach the hairs to make them less noticeable, and it will exfoliate your skin. Avoid sensitive areas. It will take some time for results to show, so you’ll have to be patient. (also works for lightening dark spots and freckles)
Toothache: Put 1 drop of clove essential oil on a cotton ball and out it directly on the tooth. Try to not get it on the gums, and no more than 1 drop.
Motion sickness/Nausea: Chewing on lemon grass or lemon balm helps to alleviate the symptoms of nausea, or drinking a tea with lemon balm, chamomile, and ginger will also help if you have the time. The strong smell helps you to regain your senses. (Used this on my mother when she got motion sickness)
Indigestion/Gas/Bloating: Drinking fennel tea is a good way to relieve excess gas in the body, or chewing on the seeds.

A study of over 130,000 adults, published this month by the Journal of Psychopharmacology, has found that the use of psychedelics such as LSD and magic mushrooms is not a risk factor for mental health problems. Researchers conclude that the prohibition on such drugs is difficult to justify, and is a violation against human rights.
Using a data set consisting of 135,095 randomly selected United States adults, including 19,299 psychedelic users, researchers examined “the associations between psychedelic use and mental health.”
Researchers found that after adjusting for sociodemographics, other drug use and childhood depression, there was “no significant associations between lifetime use of psychedelics and increased likelihood of past year serious psychological distress, mental health treatment, suicidal thoughts, suicidal plans and suicide attempt, depression and anxiety. We failed to find evidence that psychedelic use is an independent risk factor for mental health problems.”
According to the study’s lead researcher Dr. Pal-Orjan Johansen of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology; “Over 30 million US adults have tried psychedelics and there just is not much evidence of health problems.” He notes that; “Concerns have been raised the ban on use of psychedelics is a violation of the human rights to belief and spiritual practice, full development of the personality, and free time and play.”
The study concludes; “Psychedelics are not known to harm the brain or other body organs or to cause addiction or compulsive use; serious adverse events involving psychedelics are extremely rare. Overall, it is difficult to see how prohibition of psychedelics can be justified as a public health measure”
