@thedailyfatty
They didn’t have Quest Bar flavours that I liked at the store that I went so I decided to try this one out. Pretty good! 😋
I’ll just keep going. I know if I stay consistent, eventually some change will happen.
Body fat percentage according to my current measurements (because I’m too cheap to buy my own smart scale or go to a gym and step on a body analyzer at the moment.)
I am ignoring the heritage BMI to body fat method (most inaccurate according to studies) and Covert Bailey method (because I highly doubt I have only 13% body fat) and going with the others, but if I’m going to base it on my last body impedance measurement, I’d say YMCA is the closest. I know this isn’t as accurate as getting it professionally done but it will have to do.
Maybe I could do this weekly. 🤔
Please don’t think I ever like putting this out. But this has to be here if I am to consistently record this journey.
Week 1
Different camera because my phone broke -_- That being said, the photo conditions are a bit different. Oh well.
Of course I didn’t expect any drastic change because it’s still too short a time for that. But since I was coming from a month-long period of binge eating and with a diet consisting of pretty much ice cream and cakes, I still did lose 3.2kg. I won’t be surprised if much of that is water weight though! HAHA
I also started taking my measurements again (which I didn’t want to do at the beginning because I knew I was going to dread it). I have to convince myself that it’s for the best, if I am to see any real change.
Weight: 59.1kg (-3.2) Waist: 77cm Hips: 97cm Biceps: 32cm Thighs: 59cm
No photos today
Just because my phone broke. (Note: Until Apple gets their shit together, I will not be getting another iPhone! I miss Steve Jobs 😪)
Anyway, I still intend to continue this regardless. The past couple of days, I’ve been improving my diet and I’m glad to say that with it came the improvement in my workout performance. I’m also experimenting with different ways to play with whey protein because I love it and it’s the most practical/versatile thing I have in my condo right now.
Tomorrow’s Day 7 so I’m up for a body update. Not that anything drastic has happened in the last 7 days but, well, progress is progress.

Day 3 of whatever this is
I decided to increase my carbs today because yesterday I learned the hard way how it is to workout with insufficient fuel. This time around, I’m pleased to say I tolerated my workout better. I’m still not as quick as I used to be (like, I was out breath earlier on than I was normally accustomed to) but this time around, I didn’t feel like quitting. That feels refreshing doesn’t it?
Here’s to consistency and sustainability!
Recap
I did BBG today. It’s actually the 3rd time that I’m doing starting this but this time, I have every intention of seeing it through until the end. Given my current diet background, I found the workout harder than when I had done it the past couple of times. It’s understandable. I have to acknowledge that I am currently operating on less than optimal fuel so the performance isn’t going to be phenomenal.
All that said, I am excited to see progress.
Day 0
This isn’t easy for me to post, much less to look at, especially knowing how hard I worked before to be fitter (and I seriously was!) But somewhere along the way, life became too overwhelming and I unfortunately reverted back to poorer habits. And while I know I’m not back to point zero, it honestly feels as though I am. I put off “reclaiming myself” for so long until today when I looked in the mirror and I almost couldn’t recognize myself. I can’t do this to myself anymore, so here I am. I’m going to be better.
(Re)starting point
Just got back from an unexpectedly extended break. I know you shouldn’t weigh yourself right after a vacation (especially like the one I just had) but I just had to. So I did. I am now past 60kg again. 61.5kg to be exact. Now I know a portion of that is water weight but I can’t deny how far I’ve fallen. But well, there really isn’t any sense to crying over spilled milk…
I started Insanity Max 30 today. Given everything I’ve seen in the mirror and at the scale (I know you shouldn’t rely solely on it but I’m pretty sure majority of my weight right now is fat so there’s no point denying it), it was imperative not to wait for Monday.
Feedback? I died. It’s easy to be frustrated considering I did this before. And while it wasn’t a breeze then either, it didn’t feel as bad as it did today. But I have to face the facts — when I did it then, I had at least four months of consistently working out under my belt. Today is definitely different. For one — I noticed I burped more frequently these days, and today when I did Cardio Challenge, I felt it come up my throat. It’s not as horrible a feeling as actually throwing up but it’s very telling of my fitness level at the moment. My Max Out time supports this too.
But you know what, instead of being intimidated, I’m actually excited. I know it’s a tough road up ahead but I just know it will be SO fulfilling once I reach one short-term goal after another. I just have to stay consistent, and I know I’ll get my mojo back.
