Matthew: Hypothetically, if I was in love with Mary...
Matthew: ...Which I'm NOT!
Nathaniel: [Looks at the camera like he's on The Office]
Men writing a female character: Her stature was regal, her figure divine, her hair luscious, her eyes burning like stars, her soul spirited, her personality fiery
Women writing a male character: He briefly made eye contact and my skin prickled, my breath caught, my pulse raced, my hands grew sweaty, my face burned; the only rational explanation is that I was facing a serial killer
Will you say âYesâ to the worldâs âNoâ and join the greatest show?
You are Julius Caesar, and you are in a council meeting. Suddenly, Brutus stands up, then the rest of the council members. Then a hundred other time travelers draw their daggers.
Rats, theyâve found me again! I shapeshift into an eagle and fly for the window, dodging the blades as I go. My next form will have to be something simple, lower rankingâmaybe a tax collector. I should lay low for a couple decades until everything blows over, but Iâll definitely need to camp out somewhere less noticeable. The Middle East sounds like a good place; no one important lives there.

Unpopular opinion: thereâs no difference between thinking and feeling.
Thereâs people who are okay with their emotions and people who arenât.
Thereâs people who understand their emotions and people who donât.
Thereâs people who respond more readily to impulse without questioning it and people who make an effort to slow down and reason it out to find out whatâs motivating it.
Everyone is human. Feelings are a natural part of that. They are not good or bad. They just are. Some people are more okay with that and some people are less okay with that. Some people let the first impulses win and some people donât.
Thereâs no difference between thinking and feeling. Some people just have better practice at self control.

Yâall, I need to know something: is there some kind of conspiracy or superstition about the printed copies of Charles Dickensâs A Christmas Carol that none of them come without at least one typo, misprint, misspelling or something? Bc thatâs what literally every single printed copy of this book I have ever read in my life and I want to understand why
Have you ever had a dream that wasnât a nightmare but was just really bizarre in the moment but then you remember it years later and itâs actually horrifying like oh my god why was this inside of me

The Chosen, S5E8 - The Upper Room Part II
Buckle up, babes, weâre going in...to the depths of Gethsemane. Because I neeeeed to talk about it and the numerous layers within this fantastic episode. I hope you're ready...this one's a doozy!
When Jesus is done initiating the new covenant of His body and blood and sharing it with His disciples, He leads them to Gethsemane. Gethsemane means âoil press,â which, beyond the obvious, holds an incredible depth of meaning for Christâs sacrifice. It generally takes around 3 years for an olive tree to produce olives that can be crushed for their oil, which parallels Jesusâ 3-year ministry before Heâs crushed for our iniquities (Isaiah 53:5). Once olive trees reach maturity, they continue producing their fruit for years, much like Jesusâ sacrifice has done and continues to do. And like us, believers who require consistent connection to the Vine for our maintenance, the trees require care and upkeep to make sure they stay healthy and produce optimal fruit.
In ancient times, there were two steps to oil pressing: 1. crushing the olives using a crushing stone; and 2. pressing the crushed olives with force, extracting the precious oil. (This was wonderfully depicted in s4e4, entitled Calm Before, when Jesus, in emotional distress, happens upon Mary Magdalene, Tamar, and Zebedee pressing olives to extract the oil to sell in order to financially support Jesusâ ministry.) Individuals used a wooden beam as a lever to press the olives because it exerted a large force over a small distance. This represents the patibulum of the cross Jesus carried, which weighedâpressed and crushedâHim down as it exerted its force against Him, both as He carried it to Golgotha and as His arms were stretched across it.
Writing update: Yesterday I finished Project Soulmate!
Hope it's good enough to interest some publisher, maybe, who knows. I still have many doubts because what if I'm not a good writer, what if I didn't give this project enough care, what if it could've been better? But at the same time I'm so happy I wrote this story and there are even people who read it and liked it and it's such a wonderful feeling. Almost three years of planning writing and polishing. I'm scared of sending it further but the thought I could hold my book one day, the possibility of such a thing makes me want to try my luck.
And on to another project we go...
A new kingdom. Eternal value. ... There is no pay. At least not in the earthly sense. I'm a rabbi. And I'm asking you to follow Me. ... You'll be part of changing the world. Become part of a family, not of relatives but of blood bonds just the same. Spend your days with some of the most interesting, unfettered, funny, driven, brave, nurturing, smart, strong, passionate, fiery, loyal, loving, imperfect people to ever walk the earth. You will see and do things you cannot imagine. You will be adored. Hated. Needed. Lost. And found. You will live everywhere. And nowhere. You will lose friends. You will lose all your friends. And your own life. You will go to the ends of the earth, and yet be part of the beginning of the greatest movement on earth. People will say you were a fool, and that I was a fool, and that it was all a lie. They'll call us heretics, and liars, and frauds. Others will celebrate and venerate your memory and call you a saint. But none of that's the point. The point is that you will have said "yes" to the world's "no." That you hoped against hope and believed against belief. That you surrendered everything and held fast to the very end. Will you follow Me?
