Life Update || 2/21/2020 || What have we been up to?

I know I’ve been away from blogging for some time now, but truth to be told, I find instagram so much easier! Especially with so many littles, just posting photos is just a simple way to go! Feel free to follow me @aileenecassidy on Instagram!

But anyway, as you can see we had celebrated the Valentine’s day together. I wanted to send my children to my mom’s to celebrate with Eden but I’ve decided against it, as she truly needs a break from all of her grandkids. Luckily for me, my boys aren’t the ones to hate everything that’s pink and I got them all matching with us for that very special day. After all, that day is all about love, and they are definitely my little valentines.

Other than that, our little Felix is 4 (almost 5) months old! Isn’t it just crazy how fast time flies?

Life Update || 13/1/2020 || Daddy’s birthday

Hi welcome back in 2020! I didn’t really have any motivation or time for this blog, I am much more active on my instagram. But my new year’s resolution is to spend as much time as I can with my family and the loved ones, and I decided I’ll do a better job documenting it as well.

Yesterday we celebrated my fiance’s 34th birthday, and I gotta say- I’m a one lucky woman to be engaged to such an amazing man like him, and I can’t wait for the day we say “I do”, which hopefully will be this year. As a family of seven (and two dogs!) it’s not really easy to plan anything, even as easy as a grocery store trip, let alone a wedding! 

As for the children, they surely are growing fast! Ronny won a writing contest for 4th graders at his school! God knows I’m a one proud mama so now his short story is hanging on the fridge, which is the most honorable place that could ever be.  As for the little ones, we will be trying to start potty training Fiona sometime soon to get her out of diapers. You guys don’t even know how tired I am of changing diapers, ever since Ronny was born I don’t think I’ve had a break longer than 6 months in changing diapers. And our littlest one is doing tummy time already! I can’t believe he’s three months old already, it feels like I held him in my arms for the first time just yesterday.

Life Update || 12/20/2019 || Fiona turns 2!

I honestly can’t believe my baby girl is two! She was so small when I first held her in my arms, now she’s a bouncing, happy little girl! Living surrounded by so many boys is tough but I’m glad to have this little angel with me. She turned two on the 14th, I’ve posted on my instagram but haven’t really been around to blog much, with my brother in the hospital and my five kids needing constant attention. She’s an amazing big sister to Felix, constantly wanting to help me around with the baby, giving him his binky and giving him kisses. She’s daddy’s best buddy and my best friend! Love you to the moon and back, mummy xoxo

Life Update || 11/19/2019 || Uncle Duty || OOTD

My little sister ( @thedarlingwonders​ ) went on holidays for the entire week, deciding to recruit me as a goddamned nanny as if I don’t have enough kids already. But I gave in, I still don’t really know why. I didn’t really have much time lately with 10 kids running around and I just dropped the newest collection at Ricchio. But things are good! I got my surgery scheduled for December and I’m really looking forward things getting better.

We also had a couple of movie nights as it’s really difficult to entertain all 10 children at once. But I gotta say, I have the best nieces, nephews and children and the whole week was pretty good except for the night time when the little brats wouldn’t let me or Pascha close our eyes. As you can see, he even fell asleep in front of the TV.

This little squish really makes me want to have just one more baby but I’m good for now, with so many children in the family you just really want to catch a break sometimes.

Life Update || 11/15/2019 || The Bahamas

Being a full-time parent is really fucking hard, especially with five kids (2 under 1) so we left the kids back at home and decided to go for a week vacation to the Bahamas. I felt absolutely terrible leaving my little ones, (especially little Felix!) but I know that I need a short break from everyday life. We’re having really good time and it’s amazing to finally be able to spend some time together without the kids. Worry not, the children are staying with my brother ( @fullhouseofseven​ ), I bet he’s probably gonna hate me for leaving him with 10 kids but I have no regrets so far. Had gotten past my mum guilt and I’m really looking forward seeing them again! But the beach life is something I’ve always dreamt of, despite living in sunny Florida we don’t really go to the beach that often. We got to arrange one beach day this summer with all of the kids but now I’m kind of dreaming of a beach house 😂

We also had a little breakfast date, that included pancakes and waffles- I’m definitely not getting rid of that baby belly anytime soon! But it was so nice to finally just get to catch a break. Even though we were hoping to go to Australia, but I thought that was too far away, and with little ones back at home- you never know what’s gonna happen and I wasn’t taking any risks.

Life Update || 10/30/2019 ||  Felix’s Godmother Visits

A couple of days ago, our darling family friend, Delancey ( @mamaandfivelittlecubs ) had came to visit us to meet her sweet little godson. We chose Delancey as a godmother as she’s the warmest, kindest woman I know and she’s got her way with children as a mother of five. To be fair, we both have quite a lot in common, we both have five children, with four being the same gender and one being the opposite. She’s also friends with my two brothers and is a co-founder of @ricchioco that her and my brother, Dimitri ( @fullhouseofseven​ ) opened this year. Felix instantly warmed up to her, even though he’s kind of a grumpy baby but I can tell that the Del is the person that will be there for him as he grows up, as well as my entire family.

I also feel like I’ve been posting lots of pictures of Felix, which is obvious as he’s the newest addition but here we have a photo of my oldest four little ones all ready to go to bed. As you’ve probably noticed, Eoin’s long hair is gone and he’s left with a shaved head. That was his idea, after he saw his uncle who’s currently struggling with cancer and is going through chemo, he wanted to match with him so we got three little baldies (including Felix!) in the family.

Life Update || 10/23/2019 || Felix’s first three weeks

There’s been quite a lot going on lately but at the same time I feel at peace with my life, finally being able to slow down and enjoy the time with my loved ones. This is going to be one of the shorter posts since we’re still working on our littlest one’s nursery. I know, he’s three weeks old and still doesn’t have his own little space except for the countless number of bouncers and bassinets around the house. I honestly can’t really complain about anything except for the lack of sleep my three youngest children. The only thing we’re planning right now is our wedding, still haven’t really decided on a date but I definitely want to wait until Felix is a little bit older.

Right now I’m trying to just focus on my family, knowing that Eden and I aren’t really rushing to get married but definitely planning it in the future makes me feel a little bit better and allows me to just lay back and focus on what’s now. I’ve been taking lots of photos of my growing children, wanting to capture every moment of their littlest adventures and smallest victories. I think the most amazing thing about motherhood is how the mother’s love isn’t stretched but multiplied.

2 Weeks Postpartum || 10/16/2019 || Mom Guilt

It’s hard for me to believe that this little one came to our lives 2 weeks ago. It’s amazing to see his little personality developing so fast and I’m trying to soak up all of the little baby stretches and his newborn smell before it’s long gone. I have to admit that I’ve been struggling a lot lately, when Felix was first born I didn’t really feel anything, which was quite surprising as I’ve bonded with all of my children when they were till in my belly. But I began to think, ‘am I a bad mother?’ and that’s when the mom guilt got me, when I started feeling that I’m a terrible parent, ‘how can you not love your child?’ came across my mind but as the days passed by, I’ve began to feel more and more affection to this little nugget ans by now I can’t even imagine what is it like not to love him. 

Being a mother is a one difficult job that requires all of your time, your devotion and for you to give it all to those kids, but the important thing to remember is that you are still a human. And you’re not a bad mother for having to have five coffees everyday to keep up with the little ones. You’re not a bad mother for having a messy house. You’re not a bad mother for letting your child watch TV so that you can focus on yourself. You’re not a bad mother for losing your cool. No mother is perfect, and no mother is just a mother. You’ve got many roles in your life, and even if this is the most important one, it’s not the only one.

Ronan’s and Issac’s 9th Birthday 

My oldest baby is already nine years old, he shares his birthday with his cousin, my little brother’s son, so we always host a small party for the two boys. The boys were born on October 3rd but since Felix was born just two days earlier we were still adjusting to everything. The boys did in fact celebrated their birthdays on that day but I’m posting late as I’m busy with my four little boys and my sweet girl.

The thing have been rather hectic recently, something I’m going to talk more about in the next post but this post is entirely dedicated to these two amazing boys that have been bringing smiles on our faces for as long as I can remember! Issac’s little sister, Nadia and Eoin are also the best of friends so it’s a great occasion for the four of them to get together and spend some time in each other’s company. Although, they see each other every week at grandma’s house, it’s still a little bit different between having 13 cousins/siblings running around and just 4.

The baby’s here! || 10/1/2019

Born at 11:02am this morning. 7lbs 3oz, 21 in.

We are absolutely in love with the newest addition to our family, the baby’s doing well and we get to take him home in just an hour. Honestly, I feel amazing to just know he’s already here and won’t be kicking my bladder any longer. He looks a little bit like an old man but I gotta say, all of my children looked like saggy old guys when they were born. My mother came to the hospital with my bigger little ones so that they could meet their little brother and they all have quite mixed feelings as for now, especially Alfie. But I think they’re all get used to him very quick. Fiona is already over excited over having her very own baby to play with, and I know that my boys are amazing big brothers to each other and their little sister so I’m sure they’ll be just as amazing with the newest addition.

I’m so grateful to have Eden, my mom and my brothers here to support me and I know that this baby is very lucky to be born into such a weird, yet lovable family.

pregnancy update: 39 weeks || 09/24/2019 ||

Right now all I’m hoping for is that the baby isn’t born on Ronny’s birthday on Oct 3rd. My biggest boy is turning 9 already and I can’t really comprehend how fast did time fly by. We probably will have a small birthday party for him and his cousin, Issac, that shares birthday with him. It’s pretty weird that my oldest and my little brother’s oldest were born on the exact same day and are both turning 9! 

How far along we are? - 39 weeks Any stretch marks? - No new ones Belly button in or out? - Out. Any cravings? - Seafood and pastry Baby Size? - Baby is the size of a pumpkin! How does the mom feel? - Big. How does the dad feel? - Excited but anxious. Anything I look forward to? - Pushing this baby out.

Luckily, we are all doing well and right now we’re just looking forward meeting the new baby. I’m glad that this time I have so many amazing people around me, including my brothers, my children and Eden. I know that life is always hard on me, no matter how old I am but this is the first time in a very long time when I finally feel at peace with myself, when I can actually lay back and enjoy the presence. I have all my boys around me and my little ginger, Fiona and I think that’s all I need.
