Something I’ve noticed about an INFJ friend and I is that we both love to dream about the future. Bright, hopeful futures, filled with love and happiness, and all the things we want in life. We like to talk about these futures too. However, the conversation almost always ends with a depressing “Yeah like that’s ever gonna happen,” because while we want these futures with every fiber of our soul, our mind knows all to well how impossible our dreams are.
That, I think, is one reason why INTJs and INFJs are generally so depressed or prone towards depression. These dueling mentalities are not kind to each other, nor are they kind to the INxJ. It is a cruel tug of war between heart and mind every. single. day.
Our heart yearns for an impossible future, a place where our dreams come true (sometimes the dream itself isn’t beyond reason, but circumstances prevent it from occurring), and we’re content. At the same time, our mind screams that it is never going to happen and we should just settle down and get used to whatever hand in life we’ve been dealt, because the likelihood of it changing is minimal.
It goes on every day, and it is difficult to deal with.
On Boyfriends:
INTJ finally gets new boyfriend

We had a super fun surprise trip to Warsaw (worth a visit, helped hugely by the orange umberella free tours!!) and stayed in a wonderful hostel, despite neither of us being able to speak a word of Polish!
On Music:
Honestly there is nothing better for a 'T' type than watching their 'F' friends enjoying their favourite music, it's wonderful watching someone express their love for something so simple just by singing along and being unable to control their dancing.
To all 'F's please carry on enjoying life and reminding us 'T's how to enjoy the simple things!

IN OUR UNIVERSITY IN OUR YEAR DOING OUR COURSE
Let’s do some maths here: 0.8% female population are INTJ. Roughly 160 girls in our year of university We should have 1.26 female INTJ students in our course year. There are three (that I know of) in the 20 odd people we know who have done the mbti test.
Even assuming there are no more INTJ girls in our year, there are still more than twice as many as there should be!

First of all, that’s awesome, I love people who understand and can relate to INTJ problems!

To answer your question “what are the chances?” (I mean yeah I do realize that that was clearly a rhetorical question, but let me have some fun, too) - assuming that your year of university is a randomized group (representing the entire population, which probably isn’t true, but I’ll get to that) and that like you said there are no other INTJ girls in your year, the chances for having exactly 3 are actually:
(160! / 3!×157!) × 0.008^3 × 0.992^157
That’s equal to about 9.72%, so not even that unlikely! Actually, it should probably be even more likely than that; I think so because I can imagine that there’s a higher percentage of INTJs among university students than just people in general since INTJs often tend to be ambitious and intelligent. Of course, it’s still great that you actually FOUND these girls!

Oh my goodness I've only just seen this thank you so much for taking the time to do the maths properly! Since then I have actually found yet another INTJ female in my year! I'm hoping to do a research project on it over the next 2 years so I will let you know how that goes ;)
On relationships
