A lot of people commented on my story and asked what this is... it’s a Guinea Pig. The locals call them Cuy (sp?) I have had it twice on this trip. Once on the street as pictured and the other time at a high end restaurant in Quito. It’s not bad at all. I’m trying to broaden my horizons 😀. On the street, it tasted kind of like rabbit. I’ve never seen a man happier doing his job than this brother. I shot him in a market in Urdaneta City on the main island of Luzon in the Philippines. He chopped and cut fish all day, everyday, since he was a teenager. He was full of joy while dealing in blood and fish guts while probably making $4 dollars a day. His family and friends surrounded him and flooded him with laughter during his shift.
