There comes a time in every Time Lord’s regeneration where they must face the forces of Comic-Con. Peter Capaldi, who succeeded Matt Smith in 2013, received a brief respite when BBC America decided not to have a Doctor Who presence last year. Although he might not have the youthful looks of Smith, or David Tennant before him, the Scottish actor has now proven he has the same vigor as his predecessors; the gent hauled his severe eyebrows to interview after interview, panel after panel, and even the Hall H line. When it finally came time for him to step into the spotlight, there was a moment where he locked eyes with his co-star and Comic-Con veteran Jenna Coleman, who smiled back as if to say, “See, I told you it was bigger on the inside.”

Truly the final post of the night. This is a Skaro city from the first ever Dalek story, fittingly entitled ‘The Daleks’, in 1963. Looks rather similar to the one in the trailer, does it not? Even down to the mountains.

If you saw my previous post, you’ll know that the 1960s Daleks are coming back. Could this be a young Skaro? Maybe set between Genesis of the Daleks and The Daleks (the 1963 story)? If this is the case then not only are the Daleks returning… but also maybe a young Davros…

Why yes, that is a 1960s Dalek you see in the background. This just made the Dalek storyline that little bit more interesting. ;)

Lots of things currently run through my head. Mainly Doctor Who... mystery lady... not sure what to think about the return of the Daleks and... Doctor Who...

Okay, I lied. This is the final screenshot.

The fact the Doctor responds with “you” in that tone of voice... could mean numerous things. This is a surprise for him but not just the return of someone obvious. The character here must be a character that he previously thought dead. Or maybe she’s from long ago, such as a book companion or an audio companion. Or maybe she’s someone we, as the audience, haven’t met yet. Like a River Song-ish character.

Where d’you think this is? Atlantis? Similar idea to Atlantis, maybe. Or maybe it’s a brand new underwater city that is yet to be discovered. Since my last picture introduced the wild Silurian theory... how about the wild Sea Devil theory.
