We here at Sauce HQ love a nice brew. So much so that our cupboards are stocked with them. From normal standard tea- right through to the herbal variety.

Made for drink

We here at Sauce HQ love a cheeky snack or two or three. On our tasting table we have scoffing or shall I say Colin has been working his way through Made for drink- premium bar snacks. 

These hard to resist treats are right up our street. Inspired by different drinking cultures around the world, they make intensively delicious bar snacks that pair beautifully with a drink. 

These snacks come in a selection of flavours such as mixed pack of Duck Fritons & Chorizo Thins which I must say are indeed AWARD WINNING! Crispy morsels of fine range British Duck skin inspired by a rural Southern French delicacy.

Chorizo Thins- slices of authentic Spanish Chorizo, slow roasted until crisp- these treats were inspired by their love for Spanish Tapas.

Their Magalitza Salami chips are not bad either

Moose Maple Butter...

On our tasting table today we have Moose Maple Butter. Colin has been having this on absolutely EVERYTHING here at Sauce HQ.

Toast, Waffles, Bagels you name it this awesome spread has made its way into our cupboards and now our table at The Food Sauce.

Moose Maple Butter - Absolutely nothing but fresh British Butter carefully blended with pure Canadian maple syrup with a dash of sea salt!

Moose Maple Butter is made using only natural ingredients as  it is an wholesome alternative to sugar laden jams and sugary chocolate spreads (which are indeed overrated if you ask us) as they contain all kinds of nastiness such as refined sugars.

Moose Maple Butter is everything you would like a butter to be delicious...smooth.... and fresh.

It is just pure grade A maple syrup with fresh British Butter. it is great on hot toasted sourdough and toasted crumpets.

Cramcakes...

For the past few weeks we here at Sauce HQ have been having quite a craving for pancakes.

Well I say we, we actually mean Colin.

It’s like he has developed a sudden urge to consume the stuff we think he might even turn into a pancake next it he is not too careful yum(that would be nice).

On our tasting table we have Cramcakes which are gluten free & vegan free lovely!

Cramcakes  come in two different organic  pancake mixes Coconut & Chia and Almond & Flax.

Each base uses Gluten free flour mixes and nut milks to whisk them into a batter.

The Coconut & Chia uses fluffy coconut flour which is crunchy coconut with a pinch of banana powder as well as healthy fibrous chia seeds.

This offers a great lauric acid boost in order to strengthen the immune system.

The Almond Flax combined fine almond flour, malty ground hazelnuts, biscuity lucuma powder as well as brown flax seeds. A big protein intake great!

In terms of fillings we don’t mess around here at The Food Sauce. We have been known to add a bit of everything. Whatever we can find in our pantry such as chocolate spread, jams, honey you name it we add it.

Superfood Bakery...

Pancakes, Pancakes and more Pancakes have been on the menu for breakfast here at Sauce HQ since the turn of the year. 

This is due to the folks at Superfood Bakery.

Way back in February for our Blogger Pancake Day event in which they kindly sponsored with a selection of their products.

These DELICIOUS beauties are also healthy,  gluten free and suitable for vegans too whoop whop!

The team behind Superfood Bakery wanted to create a range of products that would make you feel good about yourself as well as warm on the inside. 

They come in a range of flavours such as Morning Dreamers Pancakes, which are made from ancient grain flours and baobab powder to pack even more goodness into your first meal of the day.

The mix of gluten free and refined sugar free can also be used to make waffles.

Also within the range they have Raw Bliss Ball mix contains probably every imaginable superfood Chia seed,flaxseed and raw cacoa just to name a few.

It is a healthy and wholesome snack to have after an intense workout session.

Their is also Glow Makers Cookies for many an occasion..healthy cookies yum yum.

These Glow Makers Cookies are also packed with superfoods such as Chia seed, Pumpkin seeds, Cranberries and raw cacoa. 

Perfect for afternoon snacks, healthy lunchbox treats for kids.

Oh and did we mention that these treats can be ready in 20 minutes...one mix will make approximately 15 cookies, so invite your mates and get mixing up these bad boys.

You might recall from previous posts that, here at Sauce HQ, we’re all about breakfasts.

Yoghurt, fruit, muesli and more, there’s not a morning meal that we don’t savour.

Right now, we’re hooked on granola.

For this, we have the guys at Breakfast by Bella to thank.

To those unacquainted, Triple B (as we call them) are newcomers to the food scene – so new, in fact, that their products are not yet available on the open market.

Their official launch scheduled for next month, the Three Bs (another nickname) sent us some advance samples to put to the test on our Tasting Table . . .

Impressed? It pleases us to report that we can’t get enough!

Coming soon in THREE fabulous flavours (Cacao Crazy, Nutty Nosh and (our personal favourite) Peanut Butter Me Up), the BBB range uses ingredients that are organic and free from refined sugar, gluten and lactose. Suitable for vegans, there are no nasties. For anyone keen to start their morning right, promoting good health and a sensible diet tops the agenda.

Based in Surrey/London – not far from Sauce Towers, in fact – we’ve developed a soft spot for the B-Force (and not just because they’ve been plying us with granola).

The Protein Ball Co...

On our tasting table today we have the wonderful The Protein Ball Co.

They create the most DELICIOUS, all natural, high protein snack. 

Their convenient on-the-go protein balls are gluten free, wheat free, vegetarian and contain no soy, GMO’s or added sugars.

We first came across these treats at BBC Good Food Show a couple years back and thought we needed to bring their range of products to the attention of our foodie audience here at The Food Sauce.

Joe & Seph’s...

On our tasting table today we have Joe & Seph’s chef-made all natural gourmet popcorn. 

These guys kindly sponsored our Pancake Day bloggers meet up event at The Avenue Cookery School. 

These delicious pop-tastic treats went down VERY well with our guests on the day alongside their Toffee Apple Caramel sauce (more on that later). 

The Joe & Seph’s range of flavours is divine mixing the sweet, savoury and traditional but always with a focus on innovation.

From Salted Caramel to Goats Cheese & Black Pepper, Peanut Butter to Cheese on Toast- there actually is a variety to suit every palate. 

Add their wonderful Toffee Apple & Cinnamon Caramel Sauce into the mix and you really do have a combination rich upon flavour.

Nothing But...

On our tasting table today we have Nothing But snacks. These guys sponsored our Pancake Day bloggers meet up event at The Avenue Cookery School. 

These delicious snacks complimented the pancakes very well as well as balancing out the other sweet treats from the other brands.

The bloggers LOVED adding to these snacks to their array of pancakes and other treats.

Jim Jams...

On our tasting table today we have our friends Jim Jams. 

We first came across these guys at BBC Good Food Show a couple of years ago and immediately pressed ahead to work with them here at The Food Sauce.

Jim Jams recently sponsored our Pancake Day bloggers meet up event at The Avenue Cookery School.

These delicious spreads went down VERY well with our guests and Colin LOVES their spreads so much so that he has their chocolate spreads on EVERYTHING. 

Crumpets, toast, crackers, biscuits you name it he adds it. 

Jim Jams are the award winning creators of fun and funky range of delicious reduced sugar jams and chocolate spreads.

Jim Jams chocolate spreads contain 83% less sugar and are kinder to your teeth(thankgod) and are gluten free.

There is smooth and creamy Milk Chocolate and the Great Taste 2015 winner, Hazelnut chocolate.

They also have jam....obviously these come in a series of lovely flavours too!

In the family which are also reduced sugar jams,contain 35% less sugar and have a high fruit content 55g per 100g.

ChicP...

On our tasting table this week we have Hummus courtesy of our friends ChicP. These guys sponsored our Christmas party and their delicious range of healthy hummus produce went down a storm  with our guests and bloggers I tell you!

We can not stop raving about these little tasty treats here at Sauce HQ.

Colin’s been known to have it on everything Pitta chips(Soffles), Pitta bread, toast, and crackers.

ChicP founded by food waste entrepreneur Hannah Mc Collum set up the company to bring healthy colourful dips to the food market. 

ChicP are changing the way we eat hummus gone are the tired, old, bland blends with unhealthy options and in its place are NEW exiting and improved flavours to tempt our palettes.

ChicP have five delicious healthy flavours in their hummus family. 

Hummus variety such as Herby Hummus, Beetroot, Horseradish & Sage, Banana, Avocado, & Cacao, Banana & Coca. and Carrot, Ginger & Turmeric which is Colin’s favourite.

The combining of all these flavours really do work well together. 

ChicP recently launched on Tesco’s new crowdfunding platform Backit which is promoting projects that eliminate food waste across the supply chain. ChicP is aiming to raise £5,000 to create a good marketing campaign.
