There's a boy that I hide in my poetry....
The evil queen from Snow White had the mirror, we have Instagram. 🙃
"Who would trade that hum of night?
For sunlight, sunlight, sunlight."
There must be a Russian word to describe what has happened between us, like ostyt, which can be used for a cup of tea that is too hot, but after you walk to the next room, and return, it is too cool, or perekhotet, which is to want something so much over months and even years that when you get it, you have lost the desire.
Barbara Hambay, from 'Letter to a Lost Friend'
When Oscar Wilde said,
"There are many things that we would throw away if we were not afraid that others might pick them up."
There is no other happiness like having a book with you at times when you have no one to talk to. Books have always been my place of comfort, like someone who is always there even when no one else is. At a party, at school, at a bus stop anywhere and everywhere, when I felt lonely, I could always turn to a book, and it would always be there !
