So my theme this month is TMNT and while this isn’t my favorite image of the month (so far) it is the only one that had an actual story or mythology behind it the whole time I was drawing. The others have all been more carefree and fun, I might post some of them later, we’ll see, we’ll see how I feel.
The Last Turtle. Whenever one of his brothers fell in combat, Mickey would chip off a piece of their shell, carve it into a hart and place it into a freshly made plush turtle that he would always carry with him. now on his own he is often heard talking to the small plush turtles as though they really were his brothers. those who hear him or on the rare occasion see him often wounder is it his grief that drives him to talk to the plush turtles or is that just how he has always been wired.
