Black Clover characters and hugging
Asta: The undisputed hug champion. Gives the BEST hugs and gives them freely. Will probably pick you up if he feels like it. Doesn’t matter if you’re a head taller.
Noelle: Horribly awkward, never gives out hugs but gladly accepts them if she trusts the person. Sort of just stands there not knowing what to do with her hands.
Yami: The one-armed hug type. Pats your back so hard you splutter and cough. May or may not have broken someone’s ribs before. Hugging not recommended.
Finral: Three types of hugs, happy (jump-tackle hug), comforting someone else (gentle but awkward), and being comforted himself (clinging to you wailing and sobbing). Clingy type.
Vanessa: Clingy type up to eleven. Extremely touchy when drunk and near-impossible to shake off once she latches on. Will probably get drool and booze on you. Not recommended.
Magna: Tries to imitate Yami’s style, with mixed results. Actually gives pretty good hugs when he doesn’t try to copy him. Also generally the one-armed type, may or may not mess up your hair.
Luck: Clingy, but only when he’s in the mood. May pick you up if he feels like it, but may also electrocute you to get you to fight him. Hug at your own risk.
Charmy: Jump-tackle type, but harmless because she’s so tiny. May or may not try to climb you like a tree. Beware of her going into koala mode or trying to shove food in your face.
Mimosa: Sweet and chill. Gives out hugs freely, but they’re usually light and don’t last long, unless something’s the matter. May or may not rub your back a little.
Klaus: Generally too tsundere to hug, but if he does, prepare to get your ribcage crushed. Or knocked over. Or launched up into the air. Occasionally all three of them.
Langris: …Look, unless you have a death wish, don’t even try. Exceptions may apply for Finral after character development.
Leo: One of Asta’s rivals for Best Hugger, but not quite strong enough to beat him. Also gives them out pretty freely, occasionally against the hug-ee’s will.
Mereoleona: Very similar to Yami in style and strength. Actually has broken people’s ribs before. Only the very bravest venture into her hugging range.
Sol: Would also be Asta’s rival for Best Hugger if she didn’t exclusively give hugs to women. Still, if you’re a girl, chances are you may actually prefer her hugs over Asta’s or Leo’s.
Yuno: Flat-out refuses to hug anybody. Gets hugged by Asta anyway. Actually likes it. Pushes away anyone else who even thinks of trying.
