i will never stop thinking about how if resume didn’t exist, then bella would have gone to college with edward, human.

and how she’d kind of start to love being human.

and she’d just grow and learn as humans do.

and since edward is unchangeable, that he’d be unchanging in his love for her. but then also because she is changing, he would be falling in love with her over and over again.

and thus in a way he is changing, because his love requires him to, because his lover is changing. just like we see in new moon and eclipse, edward was the vampire impossibly capable of change as a result of his unchanging love.

thus finding a loophole in the “stuck in my ways” limbo of vampirehood that he loathes so much.

and bella loves her life with edward so much, and feels so confident in edward’s love, she cares about age and becoming a vampire less and less.

and so they grow old together. and by the time bella is 90, edward is also emotionally 90, due to all the times he changed (read: matured) as a result of his love for her.

and when she dies, he is no longer a 17 year old “i die with you” dramatic. he’s a wizened but blissful 90 year old who is grateful for the love he experienced over the years.

and he maybe he runs bookshops and teaches english because that’s what bella loved, and he lives mostly in his memories but continues to blop happily along, content with the life he lived and the perfect memory of 70 golden years with his soulmate forever dancing along his eyelids. he doesn’t change anymore with her gone but it doesn’t leave an ache like it did in 2004. because he’s already completed by his lifetime of love.

i will never stop thinking about them and what they would have had.

one thing about me is i'm gonna defend bella swan. every time someone starts discourse about how she's a bad friend or is selfish i just wanna be like yeah! she's a teenage girl. teenagers tend to be like that. because they're teenagers. not only that but this girl who's lead a relatively uneventful life has just been exposed to a whole new world she had no idea existed and can't tell a soul about it otherwise she risks her loved ones being killed. and she's just fallen in love for the first time. and she's SEVENTEEN. but you think she's annoying and selfish because she's never fully present when she's with her friends because she's thinking about her boyfriend and his family who are literal fucking vampires and about how her life is forever changed because of it? personally i would argue that for a seventeen year old she dealt with it all incredibly well given that she wasn't able to talk to anyone about any of it at any point but okay

it is kind of disconcerting when self-proclaimed "leftists" adopt a fully liberal position on sex work where everyone is having the just-so fictional mutually beneficial transaction central to capitalist mythmaking. idk a lot of radfem propaganda is basically positioning themselves as the last bastion of real structural critique and i think you are just doing their work for them when your argument for why sex work should be legal is "well it's consensual because the sex worker is just choosing to have sex in exchange for money which is a win-win for everyone :)".

your defense of e.g. legal protections and destigmatization for sex workers (& your corollary critiques of legislation targeting them) needs to come from a position of demystification and desensationalizing sex-as-innately-different-to-all-other-forms-of-activity and treating them as what they are, which is workers who are being exploited and are in need of protections and safe working conditions. this is not incompatible & in fact should be perfectly compatible with recognizing simple marxist truths like that consenting to have sex when the alternative is starvation is inherently coercive--in the exact same way that all other wage labour is coercive.

acting like it is incompatible is literally just buying into the reactionary SWERF worldview that accepting that fact should lead you to support oppressive legislation and the intervention of the bourgeois state in ways that demonstrably impoverish, endanger, and immiserate sex workers & it is dismaying when people who self-identify with "the left" (whatever that means but thats a different conversation) cannot formulate a (vital & necessary!) defense of sex workers and their interests and safety without falling back on obviously untrue liberal truisms.

what she means: in the final installment of the twilight saga, the twilight saga: breaking dawn - part 2 (2012), how was alice cullen able to have a vision of renesmee cullen and jacob black in the future? ?? the entire conflict concerning bella, edward, and alice in the second half of the twilight saga: new moon (2009) was that alice saw bella jump off a cliff but didnt see jacob save her because he’s a werewolf, so edward assumed bella was dead. ??? ?and then in the twilight saga: breaking dawn - part 1 (2011) alice didnt see bellas future after bella got pregnant on her honeymoon because renesmee is a vampire-human hybrid. ?????? according to the logic in the book alice shouldnt be able to have visions of species other than vampire and human because shes only been a vampire and a human.? and then all of a sudden in the final chapter of the twilight saga alice can see jacob AND renesmee 10+ years into the future????????i havent slept since november 2012
