This is a blog created for all trans people who have killed themselves/been murdered as well as a help/support blog. They deserve to have their names remember. They're humans, they matter. While this blog is binary trans themed, it is NOT trans exclusive and all people in the trans umbrella community will be featured whether Trans, bigendered, genderfluid, gender queer or Agendered or otherwise

Time to add another one to the list, sadly. 2018 has been rough on Trans Women of Colour,and I don’t imagine it’s going to get any easier with the current gun violence issue. 

WARNING: the official report misgenders her. So i’ll put the important information below, edited to be true to her gender,  so other’s dont have to see that, but the source is there if you want to see.

BATON ROUGE- Police are investigating a deadly shooting that took place early Monday morning. Officers responded to the Shades Motel on Airline Highway around 1:15 a.m. At the scene was a (women) with apparent gunshot injures, according to police. The (women) died at the scene. Police say there are no suspects at this time. Details are limited at this time. Check back for updates.“ “

“The horrifically deadly summer for black trans women claimed another victim this week, this time in Columbus, Ohio.

Rae'Lynn Thomas, 28, was shot and then beaten by her mother's ex-boyfriend in their Columbus home Wednesday, reports local TV station WBNS. Thomas is the 19th trans person known to have been murdered in the U.S. this year.

While Thomas's family was accepting of her authentic identity, an ex-boyfriend of her mother's who still lived with the women, James Allen Byrd, made no secret of his transphobic attitudes. He reportedly often referred to the transgender woman as "the devil." Renee Thomas says the last thing she heard was her daughter begging for her life, saying "Mom, please please don’t leave me. Mom, I’m dying." “

“ Ally Steinfeld, 17,  was found dead last week in a rural area near a mobile home occupied by one of the suspects, the Associated Press reports. Both local and national media identified Steinfeld by a male name, but The TM Planet, a website focusing on transgender issues, identified her as Ally. She had been stabbed repeatedly, including in the genitals, and her eyes had been gouged out, according to the AP. Her body was burned in an attempt to conceal evidence of the crime.”

Kashmire Redd, 28, identified by police as a transgender man, was fatally stabbed early Monday morning in his Gates, New York, home — allegedly by his partner, 40-year-old Doris Carrasquillo, local outlet WHEC reported on Tuesday.

His name was Kashmire. Remember his name.

Leo Etherington, 15, had attended Wycombe High School – a girls’ grammar school in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.

He had come out to his family, friends and teachers as a transgender man and begun presenting as male.

However, a coroner’s court heard that the school refused to refer to him by his new name, and told him they would not respect his transition until he turned 16.

He later took his own life in his bedroom at home in High Wycombe.

Incredibly, the school’s statement this week continued to refer to Leo by his old female name.

The school’s head teacher Sharon Cromie, wrote: “[Old name] was a wonderful person in every way and is missed by us all.”

So i have not touched this blog in..probably literally years. But I plan to now.

”On October 15, in Gaithersburg, Maryland,  20-year-old Rico LeBlond shot and killed Zella Ziona, a trans woman.

According to charging documents obtained by a CBS affiliate, LeBlond killed Ziona because she “began acting flamboyantly towards LeBlond and greatly embarrassed LeBlond in front of his peers.”

Rachel Bryk, 23, jumped off the George Washington Bridge, the bridge between New York and New Jersey, on Thursday night (23 April) An eyewitness is believed to have seen the young woman leave her purse on the bridge and jump off into the Hudson River. Hello. So, this may sound dumb, but I am having suicidal ideation over being FtM. People are always telling me I am wrong, and my "friends" correct me for ACCIDENTALLY using the incorrect pronouns with one individual, and yet none of them use my pronouns. I am sorry to bother you with this, but no one will listen to me. I've been dealing with being suicidal because I'm trans for months now, and they just blow it off... I know it is a stupid reason to want to die, but I feel trapped.

I’m sorry you’re feeling this way. :( Have you talked to your friends about this? Them not using the correct pronouns I mean. If you talking to them hasn’t changed the way they treat you, then you should consider distancing yourself from them.
