Lola smiled into the kiss, pressing her hands against his chest. As she pulled away, she ran her hands down his arms to grab his hands. She listened with a frown as he spoke about how it was without her around. Of course, she missed him like hell. She didn’t think there was a day that she wasn’t crying, even though she knew deep down that she shouldn’t be crying over what he did to hurt her. Lola just didn’t know that Chris had felt this way when they were apart. It wasn’t that long at all in reality, but the days seemed to drag on. “Chris…” she trailed off, biting her lip as she tried to think of words to make him feel better. She wasn’t going to tell him that he was right and that there were multiple times she needed him but didn’t feel she could text him. She would never let him know that. It would probably crush him, and things had just started to get better between the two of them. She leaned forward, pressing her lips to his softly. “Don’t…don’t worry about stuff like that. I missed you like hell, but I don’t want you to have to worry about me like that. I’ll be fine.” she told him, trying to convince herself as well as him, but she hoped he couldn’t see that. “I love you.” she told him once again that night, not caring how many times she said it as long as he knew she meant it.
His eyes fell half closed as she kissed him softly once again; making him realize how much he missed this little things. Telling him not to worry was useless though; he was overprotective when it came to her and he just wished that he could find a way to take care of her even when they were apart. Chris was confusing in some of his actions -- he hurt her quite often with his explosive and somewhat cold personality but he still loved this girl way too much, “I love you too,” He whispered with the smallest smile and then stood up. He bent down to easily pick her up and held her to his chest, bridal-style, “Let’s go upstairs, yeah?” Chris said, not breaking eye contact as he started to carry her towards the stairs so he could take her to her room. Maybe he didn’t love her the way she needed him to but he still loved her with all his heart, “Baby, I have to ask--” He bit his lower lip hard as they got to her room, carefully setting her back on her feet, “You said you didn’t sleep with anyone else --- but guys did hit on you, right?” Chris asked in a lower tone of voice, his eyes hard to read. It was another thing that he couldn’t get out of his head the time they spent apart.
