bumblebee pin for my dear friend! <3 š

rabbits and hares are my favourite animals, aside from birds, and it breaks my heart to know domesticated rabbits are one of the most neglected and abandoned pet in the UK.
our rescues and sanctuaries are almost always at capacity, so please, adopt, don't shop.
they have very strict herbivore diets, so always having access to good quality timothy hay, plus pesticide-free foraged food that they would eat in the wild, such as dandelions (rescues, like Ivy Dene Rabbit Rescue in the UK, often sell dried foraged foods!)
and they have such unique personalities, no two are the same of course!
*always do your research (not using some a/i nonsense, but reputable sources such as rescues and sanctuaries) before considering bringing a being into your life.
I don't want to buy mass-produced garbage from a big box store so I go to etsy but half of etsy is now dropshipped mass-produced garbage or AI slop so I go to the local arts and crafts street market but a ton of those booths are also selling the same generic plastic objects or identical stickers or 3D printed dragons so WHERE do I buy real trinkets and art from sincere freaks
I read a book I learned about here on Tumblr because the author is semi-well known here... I wasn't originally that interested in it... Until I saw people mocking it for being apparently problematic and offensive.
Which... Surprised me, but hey, I skim read a quite persuasive review a lot of people were referencing and was further intrigued.
So is Sir Cameron some kind of nightmarish hate crime?? Well... No. But I had an interesting time live reading it to find out.

paper embroidery!!
I had the question pop into my head, what would it look like to sew on paper? apparently, upon my research beforehand, it has been done plenty of times, but I wanted to try anyway!

feminist retelling shoulsnt be the woman does some girlboss shit femist retelling is she does the same stuff except u actually give a shit abt her perspective and thoughts and feelings as a human being this time
#if her thoughts and feelings are just about how she needs modern feminism you have also failed (@catie-does-things)
this trend of shitting on peer-reviewed academic studies in favor of tweeting āwe already knew this was happeningā is so soul-crushing. not to be an elitist cunt, but we have got to open the schools again. people genuinely seem to have forgotten that their personal lived experience isnāt indicative of the larger population, AND IF IT ISā¦ā¦ then you need researchers to support these assertions from a relevant data pool instead of a blog post from 2013 š
love when you try something and it pays off. this herringbone was helpful for adding interest and drawing the eye to the top of the back, but it was really stark and a little bit distracting. what a difference wrapping the stitches in a bit of the green makes.
what's better than your average trinket bowl? an apple trinket bowl!!
I read a very recent, apparently topical book last week while the sun held me hostage indoors. I went in blind to it and the general consensus, and am intrigued to learn I seem to hold some unpopular opinions.
