My favorite TLOU fics

Thanks for showing interest, guys! I’ve kind of clustered them around certain categories, so you can more easily find what you like.

Joel [Because our favorite man is still shrouded in mystery.]

“Dirt” (T; incomplete): This covers the 20 years between the game’s prologue and the actual start of the game, and is told from Tommy’s point of view. Hands down, one of the best TLOU fanfics I’ve come across yet. Don’t let the “incomplete” status scare you off, there’s already 29 LONG chapters of goodness already posted!

“Joel, Broken” (T): Joel’s life with Sarah, told in reverse chronological order. I think the author really provides realistic character motivations as she studies what happened between Joel and his ex-wife.

“no light, no light” (T): Fatherly torture, beautiful writing.

“Curiosity” (M): Even if you don’t usually like reader inserts, give this one a try – the writing is absolutely beautiful, and everything feels so true to Joel’s character.

Tess [Why is it so damn hard to find good Tess fics? Whatever, let me help you out.]

“Lights of Endangered Species” (T): Hands down, my favorite Tess fic of all time. Provides a really lovely and realistic backstory to her character.

“Sketches of Tess in the Outbreak” (M): A really great series of drabbles about Tess, starting from the time of the CBI outbreak in Boston.

Joel/Tess [Because I make no bones about my OTP.]

“And That Was That” (NR, probably a hard T or mild M): Featuring the sexiest line of dialogue in all of fanfiction. You’ll know it when you see it.

“Ultraviolence” (M): Takes the “hooker with a heart of gold” trope and spins it out into something that can only be Joel and Tess. Totally beautiful and evocative.

“once upon a derp” (T): An AU in which Joel and Tess adopt Ellie off of the Boston QZ streets when Ellie is six years old. Lots of fluff, lots of feels.

Joel & Ellie [Mostly feels-tastic father/daughter stuff.]

“on rusted things that had stopped moving” (NR, probably a T for language): The writing in this is just completely beautiful. I dare you to still be breathing right after you read the last line.

“landscape” (T): More totally gorgeous writing. The last scene takes my breath away.

“Hands” (G): Just a really beautiful meditation on Joel and Ellie’s relationship, told through one short scene.

“in the end was it fireflies or lightning bugs and did it really matter” (G): I think this was written before Left Behind came out, so it diverges from canon in terms of Ellie’s sexuality, but I still think it’s beautiful writing.

“Flying to Wyoming, Chapter 13: The Feminine Abyss” (M, but this chapter is probably just a T for language): Lots of people have wondered how Ellie deals with her period – so please enjoy Ellie making Joel jimmy open a tampon dispenser. It’s fucking hysterical. (Note: This chapter is part of a much longer Joellie romance. This chapter stands alone and is not romantic at all. Read the rest of the story or not as you will.)

“The Lies We Tell” (M): This destroyed me, the end.

“we thought to build us houses” (T): Also totally destroyed me. Gorgeous, gorgeous writing.

“Rest Don’t Come Easy” (NR; probably a T): What if Ellie was never really immune?

“Man of Constant Sorrow” (T): Really wonderful AU featuring Ellie in her 20s, Joel in his 30s, and an intriguing attempt at a cure.

Plus copics are actually refillable and you can buy more colored ink online for pretty cheap! So yeah dont throw out copics.

NO NO NO NO!

Never refill a Copic with regular isopropyl alcohol unless you have absolutely no other option.

Copic markers have their own ink refills to go with each marker,

They look like this and cost around the same price as a Copic Sketch maybe slightly more however they can be used to refill a marker several times

By using isopropyl alcohol what you’re doing, in fact, is diluting what little ink you have left in your make, therefore changing the shade of it.

Of course the one exception to this rule is the colourless blender 0 which is a marker that is full of regular isopropyl alcohol.

As a side note, DON’T throw away your marker if one/both of the is damaged

Copic also make replacement nibs for all of their markers

Which are much cheaper than buying a new marker as you get multiple in a pack.

Loved and Lost

That was it. That one short moment and he knew it. He had fallen for you. He had fallen for your smile, how it was always present and bright. How it crinkled your face in a way that even if you weren’t smiling you could still see the remnants of one.

He had fallen for your laugh, how contagious it was and musical it sounded. How it would always catch his attention no matter what he was doing.

He fell for your brain, the way you spoke, how captivating you were. How the two of you could sit and talk about nothing for hours and still come up with new things to talk about.

He fell for how much you were like him, how you were willing to do everything you needed too to get the job done. How you never gave up.

He fell for how different you were, how compassionate you were, how you saw the good in everything. He always thought kindness was weakness but with you it was your strength.

He was watching you from across the room. You were sitting with Cisco in one of the side rooms helping him with one of his new gadgets for training the Flash. Cisco told you a joke and you laughed, Harrison couldn’t hear you, but just seeing you laugh brought a smile to his face.

He was in too deep, and he had no idea how it happened. He had never planned for this, to fall in love, to fall for you. He dreaded the day you would find out who he was. Would you be against him? Of course you would. Your sense of right and wrong was too strong to think that the love of a villain would change it.

But would it be worth it? To try? To let himself fall further. To have you fall for him? Would it be worth the inevitable pain of a goodbye? Of a betrayal?

No. He would do it if it would only hurt himself. But with your heart on the line. He couldn’t risk it.

So he would stay away. Let you stay oblivious to his feelings and just hope that one day you wouldn’t hate him.

Harrison hardened his gaze, hardened his heart, he had made is decision, he was ready to let you go.

Then you looked at him.

Your dazzling eyes met his holding his gaze like a vice and you smiled. A small embarrassed half smile, like you were caught doing something you weren’t supposed to. You glanced down for a second and bit your lip a, soft pink spreading across you cheeks, you looked up at him through your lashes and just like that, everything he decided, everything he vowed, went out the window.

It was like he had melted, his resolved all but disappeared. He had to go for it, he had to try besides, he thought to himself, what did Shakespeare use to say?

It’s better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.

A/n: I feel like i should have a beta reader but I’ve only done 3 imagines so i might be getting ahead of myself. Hope you enjoyed, this was something i just spit up.

Different. Leonard Snart x Reader

Warnings: None Fluff

Something was going on with Leonard recently that you couldn’t quite place a finger on. Even you could tell the planets were out of alignment in his little universe. You’re not exactly known for being observant. A couple instances with your mind going of its train of thought have lead to very intimate face first encounters with the wall Sara wouldn’t let you live down.

Still, it was obvious something was going on with Leonard. Leonard always has been the kind to hang by the walls when the team plans the missions, but lately he’s been taking his place between you and Mick in the group. He still made quips about whatever the plan was, but still. During fights, Leonard usually only shot targets coming towards him and Mick, but lately he would take out anyone coming at you and the rest of the team as well.

At least, you think he took out the rest of the team’s targets?

So it came down to you constantly glancing over, trying to pin down the difference.

Kendra, who you had been been talking to, followed your gaze and smiled. “So, you got a thing for Snart, huh?”

Your eyes snapped back to Kendra. “What? No, it’s just, has he been acting weird lately?”

Kendra shrugged. “Not really, maybe a fraction less distant, but otherwise no.”

“What about during missions? When he shot the henchmen coming at me? That wasn’t like him!” You insisted. Kendra just laughed.

“What’s so funny?” Sara poked her face between the headrests of your seats.

“(Y/N) here is paranoid about Snart’s teamwork.”

Sara came around the see, ruffling your (H/C) hair, “Well Kendra, you never know. Maybe Lenny is turning into a human, or maybe he’s been replaced by an alternate dimension Snart!” Both female legends laughed at your unamused face. “If you’re so curious, why not hack Gideon? She knows everything on this ship,” Sara reasoned.

“Or she could just ask him? Like a normal person?” Kendra remarked.

“I don’t think I could hack Gideon without feeling guilty anyway…” You sighed, looking back at Leonard. It’s not something you talked about often, but seeing Leonard grow to care for the group had left you with a bit of a crush. He may not be as good at showing it as Ray, but he feels deeply for each of his teammates. Plus his cerulean eyes and the way he can get you to laugh made your heart skip a beat.

“So asking it is then… Hey Snart! (Y/N) here has a question for you!” Sara singsonged before scooping Kendra by the arm and dragging her out of the main deck, leaving you alone with an amused Snart walking your way.

“What do you need to know? Lock picking tips?” Leonard sat carelessly in the seat next to you.

“It’s nothing really, Sara and Kendra are making something of nothing.” You fumbled on the words.

Leonard raised a dark eyebrow. “If it’s nothing it shouldn’t be a big deal to ask.” His voice didn’t have quite the edge it usually did.

“I was just curious… Why have you been acting differently? I know I’m not like you, I don’t see all these micro details and make a picture, but I can see you’re different.” You gushed out in a breath, staring at your hands closed tightly in your lap.

Leonard sat for a moment in silence. You could’ve sworn his jaw dropped. Then he swallowed whatever trapped his voice, “My morality isn’t exactly what is expected of someone on the team meant to save the world. I’m no Flash; I’m not even in the gray area of good that Green Arrow guy floats around in,” he took a shaky breath. You’ve never seen Leonard this rattled.

He continued as you listened intently. “I’ve never had a reason to be a goody-goody. Mick and Lisa were the only people I cared about, and they clearly didn’t expect anything out of me beyond being a crook and a brother.” His eyes captured yours. “That how it was anyway… Until I met you, (Y/N).”

All the air was sucked out of the room and you struggled to breathe. Leonard placed a hand on your back in concern. “(Y/N)? Are you breathing?” A half smile broke across his face, a rare genuine expression from the thief, “Need some mouth-to-mouth?”

A laugh escaped your lips, and with it came the ability to breathe normally again. Leonard began to lift his hand from your back, but you shook your head, stopping him. “I’ve never had someone care about me like that, it’s a little…” You search for the right word.

“Enchanting? Stunning? Terrifying?” Leonard suggested.

“Kinda all three,” you smile again.

“I don’t want you getting the wrong idea. I’m never gonna be a sappy angel, like Jax or Ray. It’s just not in my code,” he conceded.

You leaned over and pecked his lips, “You don’t need to be like anyone else, I care about you as you are, the thief that stole my heart.”

Another genuine smile spread across Leonard’s lips as he he ducked his head down to kiss you once more.

*In Kendra’s room*

“You know, there was a reason (Y/N) didn’t want to hack Gideon,” Kendra muttered as Sara converted the panel meant to display outdoor environments into a computer monitor.

“You wanna see what happened or not?” Sara called back, not looking back from the task at hand.

Kendra sighed and hopped onto the bed next to the blonde. “Almost done?

"Just one last code and- Bam!” Sara whooped as the screen now displayed video feed of the main deck.

Kendra stared open-mouthed. “Are they…?”

“Kissing?” Sara finished. Both girls stared at their two friends getting to know each other quite intimately. “I don’t know which this is more surprising from; Lenny or (Y/N)!”

“We shouldn’t be watching this,” Kendra said as she continued to watch. Sara suddenly typed in a new code, but the screen remained the same. “What did you do?”

“I’m recording it into Gideon’s hard drive, it’s set to start playing next time anyone uses the computer on the main deck,” Sara smiled with unabashed pride at her handiwork.

Kendra shook her head. “We are going to Hell for this.”

Sara laughed, “You bet we are.”

You’re staring. You can’t help it, really. Your boyfriend of three years had invited you to take a look at an apartment with him, and you’d accepted, of course. Had combed through the apartment with a careful eye, looking for anything out of place. Your tour stopped in the empty living room and you’d turned to him with a great big smile to give your approval… only to see him holding out a small box with a ring nestled inside.

You feel like you missed something, or are hallucinating, because surely… surely, there is no way…

“Marry me,” he whispers as you continue to stare. “I want to be with you.”

“Are… are you sure?” you mumble. Your vision blurs and you hide your face in your hands, feeling the tears drip down your cheeks. You must look like a wreck! But you can’t help it, because… because…!

“Yes.” You peek through your fingers and see him right in front of you, still holding that box. That ring. “You’ve been with me through so many things. Through every bit of my rocky recovery, dealing with my… brusque way of helping people, and my absolutely crazy friends.”

“You love every single one of them.” You feel yourself grin. “Especially Rin~!”

“Hey, leave him out of this.” Still, he smiles slightly in amusement. “This is you and me time.”

“Sousuke…”

“Will you?”

You throw your arms around his neck. “Yes!” you breath into his ear. “Yes, yes, and yes! Always!” He returns your hug firmly, kissing your head, eyes, cheeks, lips…

When you two finally get around to slipping the ring on your finger, you think you’ve seen nothing prettier in your entire life.

Could I request s/o avoid any meeting that involves their boyfriend and swimming. S/o is not afraid of water, they actually like it (not as passionate as them though). It was hot outside, and the final bell for school had just rung. Students flooded to their cars and to the busses, eager to get home and out of the heat. (Name) and their boyfriend walked hand in hand to their car at a leisurely pace, the heat not bothering them as much. He held their books while they spat out some nonsense about some random topic that took place during the previous hours of the day. He smirked at them, listening, but focusing more on the way they were walking, and the way their mouth was moving, rather than the actual words that were coming from it.

“Can you believe that?! He actually did it! So then -babe, are you even listening to me?” They took out their keys and unlocked the doors.

Getting in, he chuckled and replied, “Yes, (Name). You were talking about what happened during third hour..”

They squinted at him and smiled, “Alright, you’re off the hook…But just this once!” They stuck the key in the ignition and started the car, both of them sighing in content when the AC kicked on. “So, what are we gonna do now? Do you wanna go shopping? Or we could go back to my place, we do have that test to study for…” They tapped her bottom lip in thought.

He smiled and took out his phone, reading the text that popped up on his screen. “Well, it would seem that practice is canceled for today, so I’m free…” He noticed that they had perked up at that statement, “But I’ve been noticing that my form is getting a little sloppy, so I’m gonna have to fix that before the next relay…Hey, why don’t you come with me? It would be a huge help if you could videotape me and-”

“Actually, I think I’ll have to pass for tonight, I -uhm… I have a thing,” They buckled their seat belt.

He arched an eyebrow, “A thing? What kinda thing?” He leaned against the passenger door to get a better look at them, “Just a few seconds ago you were asking me If I was free?”

They blushed and stuttered, “I-I know! I just remembered that I have this test in bio tomorrow and I want to make sure I pass!”

He furrowed his brows, “But, that test was last week, and you passed! Babe, what the hell is going on? Why are you lying to me?”

(Name) began to panic and they felt like they were about to throw up. “Uh-Uhm, I just, I just wanted-”

“You wanted to what?” He crossed his arms, but then reached out for her hand, “If we don’t have trust in this relationship, then what do we have? Please, let me in a bit more…What’s going on?” He dropped his voice low and averted his eyes, “Are-Are you seeing someone else?”

“NO! Oh, God no, that’s not it at all baby,” They screeched and smacked a hand to their forehead.

“Then what?”

They bit her lip and in the smallest voice, squeaked out “I-I’m really self-conscious about my-my physique and I-I would just feel more comfortable if we had waited a little to see each other in a…” They took a deep breath, blushing heavily, “Less-than-appropriate state…I’m-I’m sorry, it’s not because I don’t wanna come out and support you, because believe me I do! And oh good heavens, I would never dream of being with anyone who isn’t you, but it’s just….” They turned to him, biting their lip. “I’m not perfect.”

Rin:

“Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait, hold on, you’re self-conscious about your body?? What the fuck baby, you’re the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen! It’s part of the reason why you’re mine, because I think -no, I know you’re amazing and gorgeous, and although I agree you aren’t perfect, because I’m a firm believer that no one is, you’re pretty damn near close.” The redhead huffed and slumped in his seat. “I don’t want you to ever feel self-conscious, or like you’re unworthy, around me. I want you to be 100% comfortable. Thank you for telling me.”

“Th-Thank you for understanding,” They leaned across the console and planted a wet kiss on his lips. Wanting a little more, Rin wrapped his arms around them and pulled them a little closer, and reached around and grabbed a handful of their ass.

“Rin!” They yelped.

“What? My baby’s hot as fuck, cut me some slack.”

“I hate you,” They giggled, and he rolled his eyes.

“No, you don’t”

Sousuke:

He waited until their little speech was over to speak. “…I’m sorry….” He looked to them, sea foam green eyes slits from how hard he was squinting. “Are you talking about yourself? As in, you’re self-conscious of your body? But…” he trailed off, genuine confusion etched across his features. “Why? You’re stunning? And gorgeous…? And-”

“Sou! I get it,” They squeaked, beet red. “Th-Thank you for the compliments, bu-but, I seriously cannot do it…I wish I could, because I know it would make you happy, but I just…” they sighed and slumped in their seat, “I just…Can’t.”

He paused for a second to gather his thoughts, and then unbuckled, so that he could lean across the console to gain better access to them. Once he was far enough over, he plastered on a serious face and squished their face with his hands, and kissed them deeply.

He gently forced his tongue into their mouth and moaned, but before things could get too heated, he pulled away and mumbled, “Don’t ever belittle yourself…To me, you’re perfect, and I’ll stop at nothing to convince you to see yourself the way I do,”

Momo:

“Haha, shut up, (Name),” He snorted and rubbed his nose, “You can’t seriously think of yourself that way,” He looked to his left, vibrant eyes dancing across their features.

They just looked down solemnly and played with their fingers.

“Whoa! You’re joking! You’re like -a freaking God/(dess)!! I-I’m not joking either, I’m being serious right now!” He was screeching and had the most flabbergasted look etched across his features.

“W-Well, thank you, Momo, but I-I seriously think that we should-”

“I know, I’m not going to push you or force you to do anything that’ll scare you off,” he smiled at them, “I’m willing to wait for you,”

They sighed and grabbed his hand, rubbing small circles on is thumb, “Thank you for understanding…I love you,”

He blushed and instantly felt giddy, “I l-love you too, (Name).”

Seijuro:

He frowned and reached for their hand, squeezing it. “Babe, there’s absolutely no reason for you to feel any trace of self-consciousness; not around me, at least. I love you, and although it totally bums me out discovering this is the way you truly think about yourself, I’m glad you told me. That took tremendous courage.” He pulled them close and planted a sweet kiss on their forehead.

“Thank you, Seijuro, I really appreciate you understanding my feelings. I-I’ll still be there when you compete, though! And I’m sure that your form is just fine,” they smiled and kissed his nose.

He sighed and looked at her with loving eyes, “I’m so damn lucky to have you…I’ll be counting the days until we get married, I swear to God,”

“Oh, shut up, Seij,” They blushed and began to drive to their place.

“No, you shut up, (Name) Mikoshiba,”
