He’s so fucking smart and so fucking right yet he was treated with such little respect by the others on this panel. While he did clearly lose his train of thought multiple times, and change the subject in the middle of a sentence, I don’t think this gives anyone a reason not to listen ever so carefully to what he had to say. I do think he had so much going on in his head that his words became jumbled. I do think he felt rather passionately about this subject. I do think he was offended and hurt by how he was treated by the ‘respectable’ people on this panel. Slash showed he was the bigger person by standing up for what he believed in (and what was right) in a situation when his point of view was out numbered. He kept his cool, even when laughed at, and continued on with what he needed to say. I think Slash is an incredibly smart person, who gets put down to just his public image (a drug addict and guitar player). He was so much more than that. If only people could pay a little more attention and see what he, and others like him, really stand for.
