I’m a young artist attending Ole Miss. For my art final I decided to do this piece. I wanted to do something to ‘cause some type of reaction in people who see it. The medium I had to use was charcoal, so ebony skin I knew was the way to go. This piece was suppose to be an African piece. Usually society has negative connotations about Africa or anything related to it. I feel the way to solve problems like these is to give positive images and reinforce that idea into people’s heads until the old idea is out.(Psychology majors be like lol) If you don’t  get that out of this piece, that’s okay too just as long as it makes you feel some type of way.

Ferguson Police conveniently forgot to publicly release this part of the footage.

It shows Michael Brown paying for the pack of cigars he supposedly stole.

The officer who murdered Michael did not know he was a ‘suspect of a robbery’, so the tape of him ‘stealing’ the cigars have no relation to the killing.

But this footage is important because it proves that the police are trying to justify Mike’s murder by slandering his character.
