jumping into the abyss goodbyeeeeeeeee
I made this after discovering Laufeyâs music. itâs been a while since Iâve done any ml stuff lol.
So...
For the first time in Months...I'm finally working on finishing Breaking Free Isn't Free.
I know I haven't updated since October and it's truly been a struggle. This chapter eluded me for a long time. I wasn't sure how I wanted to finish this story I'd spun, save that it needed to be a happy ending.
And it will be.
But now I finally have the words to be able to FINISH IT.
I truly appreciate your patience, dear reader. And I hope you will enjoy it once I post it. â„ïž
Just binged through this fic. Devastated that the last chapter isnât there. Now Iâm strung out like a heroine addict waiting for it to be published. Thank you.
For the last several years Iâve been in search of the thing that separates animals from people, the distinction that separates conscious beings from animals. What if that thing is simply the ability to choose what we believe?
Characterization done right.
Steve Rogers in a single gif.
We joke about Steveâs patriotism as his strong suit, but his actual strength was his sense of moral right. His whole philosophy is summed up in the line âI donât like bulliesâ in the first movie. Steve loves his country. He loves it enough to be at the front of the line trying to fix what he sees as moral wrong in it.
kehinki:Â #there isnât even any indication he loves his country t b h#all we know is that he wants to fix what he deems morally impermissible#âI donât like bullies /I donât care where theyâre from/â#that last bit is important
steve rogers is patriotic in the most real sense: he represents the concept at the core of the american ideal, the concept of freedom that is the reason our political system is designed to adapt and alter itself for constant improvement.
he is not loyal to any momentary leader or agenda, and when those leaders and agendas stand contrary to his core ideal of self-determination and freedom from oppression, heâll speak up without hesitation.
honestly, i never wouldâve thought captain america would be my favorite superhero, but heâs the activist i aspire to be.
Captain America is loyal to nothing but the dream.
The problem with Captain Americaâs image in the public mind is that people recite the first line of his byword and ignore the last part :
âMy country, right or wrong; if right, to be kept right; and if wrong, to be set right.â
Not to mention his
speech in Spiderman #537
.
My favorite line from the issue: âThis nation was founded on one principle above all else: The requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences. When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree besides the river of truth, and tell the whole worldâ âNo, you move.â
Steve Rogers is a radical and thatâs why I love him.
I agree with all this.
I canât believe you didnât put this in the victory bros tag. Iâm kind of offended tbh
Boys will STAY boys if we do not teach them to be accountable men.

Ngl i saw the top line and was ready to scroll through this rainbow homestuck nonsense
Do this four times repeatedly and youâll be out. But how does it work? Thereâs some real brain science behind it.
Weâre trying this tonight!
Itâs about time someone got around to uncovering all the cheat codes for this âhuman beingâ software. Itâs only been out for like 10,000 years.
?????????????
Iâve used this technique for about a year, and I can safely say that it has efficiently transformed my sleeping habits from several hours of struggle to fall asleep, to passing out in a matter of minutes.
Itâs a form of Alexander Technique. Itâs a technique that was designed for actors to keep their body in ready working condition and give it the best way to perform. This is the method used to calm, and center the body. Once the body is at that point it can perform anything you want it to.
Reblogging for later reference after I tried it earlier today to try to calm down. It actually does help a lot, not just for sleep but if you have problems with anxiety.
My default mental setting is âvibrating intensely in the background.â After doing this, I felt noticeably calm and relaxed - I wasnât as fixated on my breathing, I wasnât tense, my movements werenât jerky and I didnât feel like I had to be as tense as possible to be under control. 10/10 would recommend.
me gonna try it
dont wanna reblog but insomnia is a bitch for some ppl so heres for my mutuals having trouble sleeping.
Do you have a girlfriend
no but I'd like one
Selfishness is saying the prhase "This is my world," and meaning that it belongs to you. Selflessness is saying "This is my world," and meaning that you belong to it.
You donât understand, My heart and mind are not here They are in a far, far away some other where Iâm trapped here against my will by a tether Of which Iâm not coward enough to sever Dying is easy But living is so much harder In full awareness I commit myself to the fight knowing it has already been won In a war that has yet to be fought With carnage yet to be wrought And as the eyes of God peer over the pages of life The twist and turns birth themselves into reality It is only then I may realize The worth we have is so much more We are the greatest book ever written The best song ever sung The story worth telling The stage play needing watching And maybe that alone makes it all worth while
If Wishes were Fish
The seas would be full. The power to fufill a wish has been sought after and exploited throughout the fictional universe. Often ending more times in disaster than anything else. The root of the issue is always one of two things selfishness paired by ignorance, or the inability to be prepared for the repercussions. It is therefor that we we know and understand, only by God's grace does he not grant wishes in the way that our hearts would ask of him. Instead, he tells us that with in him, the answers to all our wishes are found. Because of a single fundamental truth. In order to perfectly inact the granting of a wish, providence must take place. This is to say that the path to the granting must be set forth in the opertune time, BEFORE the wish is even made. And that the fufillment of that wish will not cause a catastrophic butterfly effect. That is why, it is in God's time alone that all things are possible, and only some whishes are realized. Other reasons include: His knowledge of something more satisfying in the future The need for you to be prepared to recieve the gift It may not be ready for you It may not actually be what you need
A Secret Conspiracy Carried Out by None Other than Yours Truly
Humans. One species that would like to believe that it dominates its origin planet. A little blue marble spinning in the vastness of space. In reality what makes it so special, is the fact that it has the will to dominate the world it lives on at all. Why? A good question, one among many that go unanswered. For example, why would a species that is so intelligent be so quick to tear apart its kindred? Why would they so willfully destroy one another in the name of personal survival? A possible theory maybe well in hand. As children humans are very well looked after in most cases. The more comfortable they are the more the mind wanders. They become concerned with things that otherwise have no consequence. Things that baffle their elders. Things, which people call childish, and are hoped that they grow out of. Concerns become larger and as responsibilities grow and they are very capable of rising to the challenge. Some never grow up and become burdens to those that do. But ultimately, the level of these concerns has a roof. A point to which no more responsibility can be taken. What if it is this very fact that stops us from improving upon what we have already built? And is there another level to which one can be concerned. One which would inevitably open up a new level of attainment for the human race. Time and time again they pull each other apart. Women adapt to pull at the strings which hold other people together. They do this with their tongues. Politics is they game they invented. Brutality the simplistic solution to wit, men have provided. In union they have become very good at both. How strange these creatures. They say things that they donât mean to say something they do. All the while concealing secrets that would more likely put their hearts at ease if said aloud. To what end? For the person they were speaking to repeats this pattern only to be responding to what the other said, and not what they meant. Oh the Madness! How many pointless fights have been fought between two people saying âI love youâ only for the opposing side to hear âI hate you.â How fickle the human heart, how easily swayed. There are those that are not born this way but trained this way only by the culture create by those who are mindlessness. Tragedy is a human invention. Created only to pass the time. The miracle is that the beauty which lies in every tragedy is Godâs invention. And the human race should be thankful for that.
I have a new theory, adulthood. While the colloquial definition is anyone over a certain age (varying by culture) i think that this is untrue. To wit, I have met teenagers beyond their years. And I have met people in there eighties who are simply the definition of petulant children. So the question is posed, what makes an adult? After careful consideration I believe that it is the ability to deal with the world as is, even when confronted with it's many paradoxes.
