I hate when people get mad at accounts who post soft Annabeth headcanons. “She’s not like that! It’s just not canon!” Do we have the same Annabeth? Is this not the girl who holds Percy’s hand when she gets scared and cried while saying goodbye to Cerberus ? It’s okay for strong people to be sensitive

i do think its ?? when people are like “solangelo shouldn’t have happened because its unrealistic for nico to be in a relationship so soon” because like. nico automatically getting attached to someone who gave him ten seconds of positive attention and ignoring all logic is. incredibly on brand for him

i feel like jason could have been a lot more compelling of a character if his goodness was presented in an interesting way. because like at every opportunity he is given at every choice he faces he always chooses to be good and to put his interests aside and resolve conflict rather than be selfish and immature.. and this is written in a very milquetoast way! but i think it couldve both lended to the tragedy of his character and his likeability.. take ashitaka for instance, a guy who is surrounded by war and conflict and doesn’t pick sides but instead tries to bring about the greatest amount of good.. whenever he is presented with an easy way to end the conflict through violence or letting someone die he never chooses it! and that made him not only a likeable character but also interesting which jason was not in most parts.. i think that jason just lacked sufficient contrast to make him compelling

Piper is a BROWN indigenous girl-her hair is dark, her skin is at the least tan, and her eyes should be brown-I don’t care if they’re “magic looking” when she’s using her powers personally but outside of that there’s nothing wrong with her looking like an actual Native girl. Also for the love of god stop it with the feathers.

Hazel is a BLACK GIRL (she’s literally 13 she’s an actual child watch it with the art honestly 😒), canonically dark skinned, let her have natural hair, let her have dark hair, let her have dark eyes-again I don’t care if they glow when she’s using magic but outside of that let her look like an actual human being god

not to like, lose my mind or anything, but i'm thinking about the way that poseidon offered to stop the tide for sally, and also how two of the first things that she describes him as are "kind" and "gentle" and i got to thinking...

you can't tell me that he offered to stop the tide for her because he was just doing a party trick. he offered to stop the tide...his domain...he offered to change the nature of his domain just for her...you can't sit there and tell me that there's not a second meaning to that? like, poseidon isn't known for being gentle and calm, literally just look at a single myth that mentions him. he's vengeful and violent and his temper is ridiculously unstable (at best) and the ocean reflects that. but for sally? he was kind and gentle for her? he changed his nature for her? so...not only did he change his demeanor and everything, but he literally offered to try and show that through a physical representation? because stopping the tide would make the water calm, peaceful, etc. like...he was probably trying to show/tell her something bc gods are cryptic like that.
