Still trying to figure out a design for Raz’s new little sister Marona L. My previous designs didn’t really fit when I put it in with the rest of the Aquatos.

Here’s the Latest one. The hardest part for me has been finding the right head to body ratio.

Finally got a design for her ironed out, the blanket isn’t finished yet, fun fact I traced one of the swirls in Augustus’s beard to get the shape of her curl.

Revisited this character and their design after the 20th anniversary of psychonauts one got me back into the fandom. Now she actually looks like a psychonauts character. The chin just doesn’t work on a baby.

Okay, as a “new” (I watched the show when I was little of course, but have properly watched it only a few days ago) fan asking, did Alex confirm somewhere how old the (older) Pines twins are?

Because as far as I have seen, everyone is convinced that they are in their 60s, but if you do the simple math, you’d end up at the oldest age of 58.

If I am correct, kids finish high school in the USA at the age of 18, which means that at the initial parting of Stan and Ford, the oldest they could be is 18, because Stan was kicked out of the house before he could even finish high school. Add 10 years, when the twins see each other again before Ford is thrown into the portal (they mention they haven’t seen each other for a decade) and you end up at 28, at most. And add 30 years more before Stan finally manages to bring Ford back from the portal and you end up at 58.

There is the possibility of them rounding the number of thirty, meaning it could be 27 or 32 years before they saw each other again, or treating ‘decade’ the similiar way, but as far as I know, the oldest they could be is 58.

Or am I missing something?

So one thing that low key makes me crazy in gravity falls is how they insist that the grunkles are in their 60’s when the oldest they could possibly be during the events of the show is 58

The show takes place in 2012

Ford was sent into the portal in 1982 (early 1983 at the latest)

They establish the gap between the science fair project getting broken and Ford going through the portal was 10 years. That means they were high school seniors in 1972 and would not have been older than 18 when Stan got kicked out. There’s just no way both Stan and Ford got held back a grade during their school years. So a decade later they would both be 28. And 30 years after that, what’s 28 + 30? 58!

To make this make sense I just say that Stan is lying about his age for senior discounts

Because it’s something he would definitely do.

Wait a minute, What if Ford is so afraid of vulnerability that he lies on the quiz in his dreams?! Oh shit I think I just cracked the code

So after reading the book of bill I believe that my last theory was correct. It’s not that ford is ace (though he still could be). It’s that he is deathly afraid of vulnerability/intimacy, for incredibly valid reasons. He is so used to hiding things about himself that he can’t be honest about who he is and what he wants in his own dreams.
