Hearts are on display everywhere because it’s Cupid season and Heart Health month. So, we thought, “How many of us are fully displaying our whole hearts to our spouses on a regular basis?”

In our interview with JourneytoLaunch, we mentioned how important it is to have the HEART conversations – where we’re sharing our innermost thoughts and feelings— to have those HARD conversations. We recently experienced this revelation; neither of us wanted to disrupt the #marriage (catch our latest episode for those details). The chats were difficult, but they really did lead to greater understanding and the breakthrough we had been praying for all along.

God’s word tells us to vigilantly guard our hearts because out of it, our issues flow (Proverbs 4:23). Fear, pride, emotional distance, and resentment crept into our #marriage without us realizing it because we didn’t completely express what was troubling our hearts. Before long, we saw issues start arising in areas where we were once solid—like money.

So remember, every marital issue – whether about #money or something else – is a heart issue, and it’s important to “check the pulse” of our relationships often and have the tough discussions to keep the #love healthy and strong.
