I REALLY like what Hua Cheng and Xia Lian//? have going on. So much so I very, extremely, undeniably, want to write a dynamic sort of, though not quite like theirs for Tales of Chi Fen.

So, while I’m doing that- Donghua recommendations? I’ve been getting really into wuxia and xianxia. :3

Please tell me where to find it if giving me a recommendation. I’m an idiot on the internet. I probably won’t be able to find it on my own.//

Colour Study gone Wrong.

My friend tried to give me advice on colour by asking me to colour pick off of two images he provided and colour my sona in with them.

TW Fake Blood.

But failed the mention it was for environmental studies and NOT colour at all. Resulting in an orange Maxzilia that no one asked for. Not even me.

Let’s make this an example as what NOT to do with my character lol. A lesson learned is still a lesson, I guess. And that lesson is to be prepared for my friend’s other two assignments to also be failures. Not to sound too negative, but I have benefit of the doubt.

I shall make a repaint of this with an APPROPRIATE orange version of my character.

Update + Sans AU

My pen was found under the couch lol.

Anyway, here’s Bravery!Sans. He is a fusion AU for my Undertale collection of CRK x UT AUs. :3

All I can say is that I am a ‘large character project’ lover. He was rushed, so could use some polish. I’ll return to him later with full art! He is the Classic!Sans x Gingerbrave fusion. Felt like a good start to the project!

Artist Pains

My pen is missing! I can my Apple Pencil a pen. I have way too many regular pens. It’s at home somewhere and will be found eventually. I just don’t want to have to replace it but if it isn’t found soon I will consider making it an investment to have a backup pen.. =w=“”

I drew this with my finger in ten seconds. It looks pretty good for a finger drawing. [Yes, I like tagging my ocs names, including mine when I draw myself]

This is kind of fun though so I will make a doodle page of weird little Maxies like this.

Alecious doesn’t like Aidon.

These two are Alecious Dier [character on the top] and Aidon Ryu [character on the bottom]. They are enemies. Thank you for stopping by!

Now for my art ramble, no need to stick around if you don’t want to read everything I have to say. I spent eight hours on this piece and am quite proud of it. I was in the mood to draw Aidon and remembered I still needed to draw relationship establishing pieces of him and any character he has a relationship of any kind with. So I drew Alec with him. There isn’t much to say about it other than Aidon still being in development in terms of colours, so I chose a palette I thought would look nice with Alecious.

Aidon is a character I designed while Alec was designed by a lost artist from Amino. No idea who since the link is broken.

These are the palettes I chose from. I thought the one on the top right looked like it would be nice to draw with Alecious and chose it for this piece.

Rant over, I don’t know what else to add other than the stamp in the corner which I just obtained. I invite you to ask or suggest anything to me in the comments!

It’s okay to Change Your Mind

A reminder to myself and other artists! It’s okay!! Not everything you make is going to be perfect. I am now going to ramble about my art. You don’t have to read all of that and are dismissed. Thanks for stopping by to see what I have to say!

First two images are new swatches to replace the old colours [top left on both] of my oc, Aidon Ryu. I’ve been able to eliminate two of them, but I need to draw him more to decide which of the four I have left. The colours were taken from palettes on the internet.

Reasons for eliminating the two I did: The red/pink and black one didn’t feel like Aidon, I could have fixed the colours given that I didn’t like them on him anyway but the red/pink and black just really doesn’t suit my playful cat-dragon character. And the pink and more lime green one felt very “Apple Bloom” from My Little Pony, which while not a bad colour palette, I wasn’t the biggest fan of it on Aidon.

Notable about the ones I kept being the stormy blue and yellow one, which is drastically different than what I imagined him having. Then again, when I chose green and red, I wasn’t imagining any colours for him since my original concept for him was completely colourless. The bottom left one on the first image was almost scrapped as well due to me initially thinking it was two dark. But when I compared contrast, it wasn’t all the much darker than my original. Just a bluer set of greens, a more golden yellow, and a darker red that I consider richer. Which is pleasant to look at. The top one on the same page is extremely warm, and I really like it. My favorites ultimately being the top right in the first image AND in the second one. They are very soft while also being vibrant. I am almost tempted to make them both canon, as alt palettes of each other. But we’ll have to wait and see until I see them all in actual pieces. I might even settle on a mixture of any of them, not just picking between them. That’s what character design ultimately ends up being.

Now, the third image. It has been taking my an ABSURDLY long time to do. So I have made the decision to stop working on this one, and do a different one at a later date. This character, Hongjianlong, is not being scrapped. Just being saved for later. I’m exhausted of working on this piece for him. I’m probably going to shift to a warmer scale on him as well. I just don’t like the purples anymore.

That’s the end of my art rant. Hongjianlong is open for a proper name, as that is not a name. It is more of a title. And Aidon Ryu is accepting feedback on his colours. Thank you! [Feedback on tags is also welcome- I don’t know how they work]
