Here's some more "Pagemaster" fanart for you, friends! ^_^ Here, we have the movie's version of Dr. Jekyll with his late wife Fanny (another one of my OCs). Of course, this picture was taken in a much-happier time in the good doctor's life....

When you read my "Pagemaster" fanfiction stories with Jekyll, you'll come to find a lot of parallels/references to Leonard Nimoy & Robert Louis Stevenson in his daily life, backstory, personality, talents, & other things. One particular example of these parallels, is my bestowment upon Jekyll's wife of Robert Louis Stevenson's own wife's name--that, of course, being Fanny. :-) I try to make Jekyll's relationship with his beloved spouse as adorable, loving, & devotional as R.L.S. & Fanny's real-life one was. ^_^ (Their marriage is my relationship goal!)

Thank you to Paul Leach for bringing this to my attention: the Sherlock Holmes Magazine Issue 25 Summer 2026 features The Great Mouse Detective 40th anniversary. Freelance writer T. Rick Jones meets the writer-director behind the film that saved Disney’s famed animation studio.

I also noticed the issue mentions a farewell tribute to David Burke, the first Dr Watson opposite Jeremy Brett in the 1984 Granada series, "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes." That was a wonderful series I came across in the 2000's, watching them again in recent times on Tubi. I highly recommend them!

Tantalog (Stitch’s language in Lilo and Stitch) is really interesting. There’s very little information on it, though. It’s said to be a mix of Hawaiian, Chinese, and ‘Chezcreekian’, which according to the Lilo and Stitch wiki is a language (dialect?) of a few people in rural Chesterfield. I can’t find any information on Chezcreekian that’s not referencing it in terms of Tantalog, though, so the languages it’s supposedly mixing might just be the in universe explanation. There’s also at least a few instances of other languages, ex. Hebrew ‘shalom’ and Arabic ‘salaam’, appearing in language excerpts. The wiki contradicts itself, saying that Tantalog is both the native language of Jumba and the planet Turo as well as that it was created by Jumba.

I’m adding the known word list to the conlang dictionary I use so I can analyze it and might expand on it in the future.

It would really great if we truly knew exactly how Tantalog was developed. I’ve seen the list before and noticed all those incongruencies between the words and their supposed real world origins.

I’ve already stated on my recent 627 link post how much misinformation goes around in the Lilo & Stitch franchise, which to be honest is really poorly documented among all of Disney’s franchises. (I believe that Gameloft actually used fan resources to provide Stitch and Angel’s Tantalog dialogue in Disney Magic Kingdoms because of this lack of available official information.)

In fact, the Wikipedia articles for Atlantis: The Lost Empire and Treasure Planet, which were box office disappointments/bombs and are only cult classics today, are much better developed that the article for the original Lilo & Stitch film that was released between them; Atlantis (which also has its own conlang developed by Marc Okrand) was even a featured article on the site. Lilo & Stitch was the real big critical and commercial bright spot for early 2000s Disney animation and for some reason, it’s become so forgotten among the mainstream that we honestly don’t know the whole story about how the film came to be, how the franchise was developed, what was the production of Lilo & Stitch: The Series like (Jess Winfield did held a forum on TV Tome to answer fans’ questions about the show, but it got lost after it became TV.com and the only known archive that exists is a small New Zealand-run Lilo & Stitch fansite’s upload of just the first four pages), etc.

And the worst part? Nobody is willing to do the proper research so that real information about Lilo & Stitch in general can be shared and preserved, leaving fans to fend for themselves and much of the franchise left behind and forgotten.

I was active on Tv Tome back in the day and I REGRET not printing out what he said oml. Major regret! Can I just say how exciting that was and how much I freaking miss that website. After youtube that was my jam gotta say. I never liked the ‘tv.com’ update at all.

I had noticed looking at the very broken wik this past last month and other places things I remember being stated from tv tome forum but alot of junk I know was never confirmed at all or that I just never heard of before. It gets really confusing and muddled up. Gotta say it doesn’t help that the universe is so big and alot is left open, ie all the experiments we haven’t seen and so on. Lots left to the imagination eh  

I do have a question that has been bugging me to no end when I was looking up REAL experiments in that mess. Now I do REMEMBER the conversation Mr. Winfield had about the experiment Precious (x400) because I was a big Lord of the Rings fan and I was really bummed they couldn’t make the reference in the show. (the anime much later however made tons of movie references but sadly not that one. I was kinda hoping they would lol) But I really dont remember him ever saying the yellow squirrel seen in the background of Leroy & Stitch was Precious??? Or that she was female?? Either that totally went over my head back in the day and well it could it was ALONG time ago.. or is that more wiki  fan made bs??  I kinda hope it is because I always assumed Precious was more..I dont know..special then a recolor background experiment lol

The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as “Euro-English”.

In the first year, “s” will replace the soft “c”. Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard “c” will be dropped in favour of “k”. So back in late 2023, I got back into "The Pagemaster"--one of my all-time favorite animated/live-action movies!--& I immediately started making fanart & fanfiction for it. My debut fanfic, "A Very Good Doctor", is also the first to feature my primary OC--a sweet, adorable little girl named Anastasia Ashton, who lives in the Land Of Horror. In the story, Anastasia is taken into Dr. Jekyll’s tender, loving care for a few days while she’s battling a long-lasting fever, & she & the doctor both become very good friends. The bestest of friends, in fact! I have several ideas for more stories about Anastasia & Jekyll that I want to write. ^_^ Child-grownup friendships are so much fun to write about! :-)

JOKE-OGRAPHY: 1. In the trial of St. Joan of Arc, many stories about her life were brought up during her questioning. Her accusers sought to use these stories to prove she was an evil witch, or at least a heretic. This cartoon exaggerates their mischaracterizations to a radical degree. This is a manipulation tactic to entice readers into joining me for a month of extra cartoons, in which we'll explore Joan's version of the stories behind each insane accusation. 2. I spent three months working on this drawing: two months on the first two parts and one month on the extras. It was a real challenge, but I had fun trying to match the original Gravity Falls style. Here's a little behind-the-scenes!

The plan was to post it by the end of December, then by the first two weeks of January, and well... It's already February 3rd. I would have posted it much earlier, I was really eager to share it, but I wanted to add the extra drawings!

Character Creators Games, Doll Makers, and Other Resources

I realized I’ve mentioned a few times now that there are other resources to make characters if you don’t have ideas or don’t know how to draw or do art. So here’s a few links that might help for those who want to design a character but don’t necessarily have the skills or time to start from scratch!
