DELTARUNE theory stuff i just randomly thought about, spoilers for chapters 1-4

What if Ralsei's Light World "equivalent" was, like, an old drawing (or something else carrying memories) Asriel made in like, first grade or something? And it was before Kris's adoption into the Dreemurr family? This would explain why Ralsei doesn't recognise Kris - there's nobody to recognise! The Asriel from back then didn't carry any memories of Kris!

As for "why can he travel between Dark Worlds?" - what if... pure darkness bends reality so hard that Darkners born in it become strictly Dark World entities, and Dark World-exclusive entities aren't bound by Light World rules? By the same logic, the Knight (if we assume them to be unable to go to the Light World) can travel between Dark Worlds freely due to being a purely Dark World being with no Light World object to tie them down.

Now, there's a hole in this theory because of the latter explanation - if Ralsei had a Light World object to get based on, wouldn't that mean he does have an object that ties him to the Light World and makes him unable to travel between Dark Worlds freely? To which I raise you an extension of that theory on how pure darkness works - what if... pure darkness creates a pure Dark World entity based on the memories associated with a Light World object?

On one side, the pure darkness of a school closet unopened in a long time created a pure Darkner based on Asriel's old memory. On the other side, the pure darkness of a deep underground shelter created a pure Darkner based on December(?)'s memory(?).

yes this is also a "Knight is a twisted resurrection attempt and isn't truly Dess" theory. i originally only thought of the "silly old Azzy drawing" part but i got carried away trying to make it make sense fully lmao

been switching over to Linux Mint today instead of working on Telly No Vision 😬

the fact that paint.net doesn't work at all really sucks. guess i'll have to learn how to use alternatives without all the cool plugins i've accumulated over the years.

and who the hell thought "middle-click to paste" was a good idea? like yeah lemme copy a piece of text with ctrl+c AND THEN USE MY FUCKING MOUSE TO PASTE IT. of course! that's so much more useful than having autoscroll on middle-click, right?! oh my jodddd.

well, at least everything else seems to be working fine? and it boots so much faster. and probably doesn't secretly do weird shit in the background that'd slow the entire pc down, unlike a certain OS that rhymes with stinkdows.

update on this: i've actually switched to Ultramarine Linux almost a year ago now and been running it ever since.

it's pretty good! feels really close to Windows (especially on the KDE Plasma variant), and the only things i type terminal commands for are programs that would've been terminal-only on Windows anyway (ffmpeg, yt-dlp, etc.)

paint.NET has been replaced with Krita for me - it's good for art and image manipulation.

video games usually run fine. i've only really had trouble with Unreal Engine 5 games so far. you can even use Steam's Proton to run non-Steam games. don't know about anticheat stuff, because i've quit live service games entirely.
