My dnp hot take is that Dan is lucky he’s attractive because if he wasn’t his “stalking” Phil on the internet (not actual stalking, but don’t know a less charged word for it) might have been considered creepy. It worked out well for them, but it seemed like so many things had to fall in place perfectly. And they did.

Too be honest, I don't think Dan's "stalking" was really that bad. Like it was just him replying to all of Phil tweets, occasionally flirting a bit and taking photos to get Phil's attention. Like all in all, he never tried to actually physically stalk him or make him feel uncomfortable. It was fairly harmless since Phil could've literally just ignored him if he wanted too lol. Although I do agree that Dan's face card helped him bag Phil, or else it wouldn't have worked. Maybe I'm wrong though idk.

Saw the one recent post and just wanted to hop in as someone in an age gap relationship (If I did my math right, dnp have the same age gap I have with my boyfriend. Met after I did a semester of college at 18 and dropped out for reasons. I turn 21 in like a week)

With age gaps particularly, it's so nuanced between every relationship. Maturity, position in life, etc. Some end up being train wrecks, some could be the best relationship they'll be in ever, or somewhere in between. Everything just depends. Same as any other relationship. As long as everyone involved is a consenting adult, and have the ability to leave the relationship if it's no longer what they're wanting for themselves, it's fine. If it's people you know, maybe keep an eye on the people to make sure that it's not harmful, but otherwise, it's not your business if someone decides to date someone a bit older. Concern if it's from a place of actually caring for safety is appreciated. But if it's just to try to stir up drama, that's not right

We don't know everything, and never will. We can't assume every little thing of their relationship (and shouldn't! Not our business) , but we can just look. If things weren't fine and consensual, I severely doubt they'd still be together and spending so much time at each other's sides. Putting your idea of what a relationship needs to look like, on a public site that they could stumble onto, and tagged with them, could cause harm. The Internet has already done so much to them over the years. We don't need to drag up something you see as possibly strange when they are clearly fine with it. I mean this as respectfully as I can, but I think you should delete that post

Don't worry I've gotten flamed for having this take too, but honestly thats how I feel and nothing will change it. People need to realize two things can be true at once. Dan and Phil have a loving relationship, but the age gap at the start was a little bit concerning. Honestly I'm not saying Phil is a predator or a creep, cause he definitely isn't. He genuinely loves Dan and didn't even know or interact with him before he was 18, and Dan was in his gap year of university. Plus Dan was the one going after Phil. But that still doesn't change the fact that the age gap wasn't perfectly okay. When I comment on the age gap, I AM NOT HATING ON PHIL. It's simply something to acknowledge. But I guess that's in the past, and they worked out so I don't care a ton about it. I have seen worse age gaps after all.
